I'd wait a couple more days and then call USCIS. But just to male sure. Cause if they sent you NOA1, there's not much to worry about

And about the writing mistake comment above I have no idea, let's see what USCIS says

Hello, just found this post! What a relief!

Our story: we sent the package with USPS on April 08, tracking turned to "Delivered" the next day, then got NOA1 on April 13th by email.

We are living abroad (Venezuela) so I used non-US addresses in all forms. We hope to get on the fast queue. I'll keep you posted.

Good vibes to all, god bless.

We have a similar timeline and we're also filing from abroad (Australia) but I never got an NOA1 email. I just know our check was cashed around April 15th. Have you gotten a hard copy NOA1 yet? Which service center did your i-130 go to?

Ours got routed to Californa Service Center.

Got NOA1 trough email but I filed our venezuelan physical address (We're living here) so I don't expect NOA1 Hardcopy to arrive at all. Venezuelan postal service is not good... it might get here, but like 12 months later hahah

Hopefully we'll be back in USA by then!

Hmmmm that's strange (I would be freaking out man!)

They could have miss-typed your email or USCIS email outbox failed to send your email.

Things I would think/question:

1) You sure you checking the RIGHT email account (hotmail/gmail)?

2) Did you check your spam folder VERY WELL, twice? (it has happened to me MANY times... its embarrassing)

3) Did you make a photocopy of all forms? Maybe you mistyped the email... it can happen to anyone. That photocopy might come handy right now to check what you put in that form!

Our email sender was "Do_Not_Reply_Lockbox@dhs.gov" the subject was "USCIS Acceptance Confirmation" and the content was something like this:

"Your case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS California Service Center for processing. Within 7-10 days by standard mail you will receive your official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) with your Receipt Number XXXXXXXXXXXXXX. With the official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) you may visit www.uscis.gov where you can check the status of your case using My Case Status. We suggest you wait until you have received your Form I-797 before checking My Case Status."

You have something in favor: they cashed the check. So they definitely opened and routed your case somewhere otherwise they wouldn't have cashed the check. You just need your case number for peace of mind. I would call USCIS and try to find out. At least you know the day it was delivered to USCIS Lockbox (check your courier tracking information) that might help get your case number.

That's all I can think about.... we'll be praying for you guys :) best wishes and hope you resolve this soon! Keep us informed if you figure this out!

Yeah I read that sentence "Case was received" like 3-4 times a day...

I placed a shortcut icon on my iPhone. Just click it and read "Case was received"...

https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/mycasestatus.do?appReceiptNum=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Just replace the XXXXXX with your case number and add it as a shortcut somewhere, your desktop, your chrome browser... hahah

Yep, I've double checked the photocopied form twice to make sure I put the correct email address, which I did. Checked the spam folder, searched all my messages, including trash to make sure I didn't accidentally delete it, still nothing. If I've not gotten anything in the mail by the end of next week, I'll call but it's definitely driving me nuts. As much as I'd like the receipt number, I don't feel like it'd really be that big a deal at this point since it'd just show the case was received.... As nice as it'd be, I don't think we'd have an NOA2 in 2 weeks. ;) At least mail between the US and Australia is pretty reliable!!

Husband got the hard copy!!

Its difficult to know, every case is different but unless you're from the Philippines, get ready to wait six months to a year. You'll get the green card when you arrive to the States I believe

The Philippines have like and agreement with the US to expedite all petitions coming from there I think because of Typhoons. They can get their visa in the time we get NOA2 even if they filed after you or me or whoever. They get their NOA2 not even a month later after NOA1
