If you have the time and money, then it is good to go over there and spend a few weeks and fly back with her.

I would bet not many have the time or money to spend, I see no reason to make a special trip to fly back with her, The 24 hour flight sux, and I wouldn't make trip unless I had time to spend in Philippines.

Well I hope that wouldn't happen with a fiancee, but sadly it does. Like everyone else said, really up to you, it would only do good so she would have someone helping with bags and things but other than that it's nothing going to help the actual process. Like the first person said I wouldn't fly there just for that, but I'd go to spend a few weeks first.....maybe hit up Boracay, or Palawan....

Actually me and my wife had been discussing this. Our plans was for me to fly there and fly back with her,as she had not flown but once before. After looking at costs and other factors. I move to austin a while back and still meed to get my stuff there we decide it will be best for her to fly to Denver and i will drive from austin and meet her there. I am making her flights as easy as possible manila to tokoyo then denver

So while it is good to fly there and back with her. It is not always the best ideal

Talk to her and ask her how comfortable she is about traveling alone. Explain to her that it's expensive but if she really can't do it, then you will come with her. Doesn't hurt to let her know you think she is a strong and smart girl that can do it on her own. Maybe a little pep talk can help her

Depends on your and your fiancées desire. My wife and I discussed this when we were in the K1 stage and we decided I would come over and be with her for the interview stage, but when she finally came over she would do it by herself. We were lucky that we could set her POE in Detroit so she didn't have to go through customs then start looking for a connecting flight. All went well.

Most make the trip on their own, not necessary for you to fly over, totally up to you. I personally flew over for the interview, then stayed for a couple months after that just to visit with family. It made traveling easier for my asawa.

From a visa standpoint, once she gets the visa, there's no reason for you to go there (being there for the interview before the visa is, I believe, seen favorably but is not necessary).

From a travel standpoint--I'd say it's really more up to her. Most adults, even if not well-traveled, can figure out how to navigate an airport and even a transfer/layover. Most people have done similar processes with buses and trains and such and the process isn't really all that different (even though it sure feels like it sometimes). For me, I see the actual emigration/immigration part of this is more of a major part of my fiance's life story than mine (obviously, it factors into my life in a big way, but this is like BIG big in his, maybe top 2 or 3 biggest changes of his life, if not THE top). So, I kind of feel like unless he specifically wants me to go with him, that this is something for him to do for and by himself. Maybe a bit flowery and romantic, but it seems right to me. (Plus he's already made a joke or two about feeling like a puppy being brought back from the pound what with all the exams, "parentage", and shots and stuff so maybe for us it really IS best for him to go it alone lol).

This is so hugely dependent on individual personalities, abilities and circumstances, though, that I'm not asking anyone to share this opinion, just putting it out there for food for thought.

I was thinking the same thing since past few weeks since my wife is about to go for interview.

I finally decided to let her come on her own and save money to go to DISNEY WORLD when she gets here..She will be more happy with that i guess
