Everyone here is where you go to find your representative. Go for it. I want to hear reports back. Also I will try my best to get in on NVC and see whats up. This mess is going to stop today.

Dwheels,

Thanks for the link...My Congressman Just emailed me the authorization form... I will be sending the authorization form back today. Lets see if we can get the ball rolling or get some answers. Its been over a month of me waiting. On the 26th of April I will be waiting six weeks. So I hope this will work for me.

I have even simpler than that. You all have CC a CC gives you access to the website to schedule for your embassy. Why aren't married folk allowed its like there's a prejudice out there against us. Why does a K1 move so fast and can sxchedule befoer thet even get their paperwork together. All they need is a Case# from NVC which they get within 2 weeks of USCIS approval. Something is foul up in here I tell you.

  • Why doesnt USCIS and NVC use the same system for case numbers?
  • Why can't a petitioner go to step 2 (NVC) while USCIS is running background checks? If NVC completes reviewing the case then just like people wait for priority date they could wait for USCIS to approve case before it goes to post.
  • Why isn't everything done electronically? Why is DS-260 the only electronic document?
  • Why can't USCIS/NVC offer expedited services for a FEE?
    • Dept of Homeland (mother company) offers it for US Passports.

Hello VJ's

I have a doubt after reading last few messages.

My interview latter clearly stats that I have to bring recent tax returns like tax return of 2014 to the interview.

my husband has sent copy of 2013 tax returns to NVC but not 2012 nn 2011.

Do I have to take even 2011 and 2012 years tax return To I terview?

His income is far away fron povery guideline and he has not sponsored any one other than me.

Finally today my husband case changed from administrative processing to issue.... how long does it take for them to issue the visa ? We signed up for him to pick it up from DSL place

I would wait two to three days then contact DHL to see if they receive your package. Congrats again!! my day is next Tuesday. I am getting everything together including my suitcase.

Yes. Your rep from Canada could not help you with the US visa. Your husband could try to ask to speed up your process.

Can some please post the link as how to register with dhl. Thanks

This is a embassy specific thing you do once you have interview in Jamaica you register for DHL to get your Visa back.

DHL Registration:

Go to https://usvisa-info.com/en-jm/selfservice/ss_country_welcome

to set up the DHL process and register immigrant's passport. You'll need the case #, passport number, TRN, and standard bio information. You'll create an account with this information. Once the account is set up you'll then have to go to "Immigrant Visa" and click on the link in the 2nd bullet point and continue on. Remember fee for DHL is now included in $265.00 embassy fee so you don't pay anything online. You'll have the option to choose between DHL's Kingston or Montego Bay pick-up points. Once you have completed this step you'll take a screenshot or copy the entire page and pasted it into a Word doc, scan and email it to kingstonIVappointment@state.gov with proper email format to communicate with embassy. p_up.gif

  1. USCIS is the Department of Homeland Security. NVC is the Department of State. Two totally different entities. That I swear are two different countries that do not speak to each other. That's why people who submit documents that should be for NVC have to resubmit. Even though it may be right there in your file.
  2. No because your petition has to be approved first before you can ever have further processing. Many people didn't even get approved so what would be the point to be sent to NVC.
  3. They are coming along. In the last 2 years NVC has come along way. I think much has to do with cyber hacking and security issues. I am sure some day all will be electronic filing.
  4. USCIS use to but it got to be a moot point becauise everyone was paying it so that means everyone is exoedite. Right now its just employment petitions that can apply for premium processing.
