So glad for Janelle! At least the NVC is doing SOMETHING. They sure as heck aren't scheduling interviews, that's for sure. Urgh. Not sure what they are doing, but it's not what we all need them to be doing.

Yes I know. Now we just have to satisfy lord embassy.

Dear lord embassy, please grant me my :alien: .

I hear you, though in my case, I'd appreciate an interview. We're now at a point where we're trying to get an expedite because there's stuff going on that my wife cannot wait for, medical stuff, that she needs me there for and I cannot even get to NVC.

I'm sorry. I hope they hurry up!! You have been waiting a while for an interview. You had a case complete before they even received our case there. Has NVC sent the case to the embassy yet? Or do they only send the case to the embassy after the interview has been scheduled?

Will USCIS accept the personal check from US when we file for I130?

I used a personal check. No problems.

I think they schedule it and then send it, but I'm trying to find that out and of course can't get through to the NVC tonight. I've had two 40+ minute calls get dropped so far tonight when they tried to pick up. We've now been waiting 22 days for an interview date to be assigned and the interviews spreadsheet is indicating that out of four people with interviews assigned since April 1st, half of those have been expedites. We're going to try for a medical expedite at this point because my wife has three separate doctors we can get letters from to indicate the necessity. We don't necessarily have a diagnosis yet, but we're hoping that the number of tests she needs will help us get somewhere, because this is ridiculous. We missed the last round of Montréal interviews being scheduled by ONE BUSINESS DAY. My wife is waiting for me to get there for both tests and procedures and she really can't afford to wait for the tests.

You are almost there. I know it is hard. Hold on. I really hope they respond to your expedite. Keep calling NVC. They are still open. I call at night because the night people have better attitudes. Hang in here. You know I am rooting for you girl!

Thank you! 8 months at NVC is ridiculous!! I am so sorry. They are not needed. They are just a place to take our money. USCIS can send the applications straight to the embassies, we can submit the originals to the embassies and then have the interview scheduled.

Will USCIS accept the personal check from US when we file for I130?

Yes they also accept your first born child, any body part for transplant and teeth filled with gold. :D Large mounts of soda cans in a pinch but you have to e-mail them for permission on the cans first.
