Progress thread for TSC filers now between NVC and Interview Stage

So we got approved on 13th March. Managed to get through to the NVC on Saturday and got our case number. the CEAC site says it's "In Transit" and: "Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center."

Slightly confused as I thought the interview won't be provided until the medical had been done etc...I've not filled out the DS-160 or gone to the medical yet. I'm still waiting on my police certificate so I can book it!

Any advice?

It's generic. The Immigrant Visa cases are fully processed at NVC and get assigned an interview there before shipping to the consulate. K1s are the small exception that are non-immigrant visas but handled by the Immigrant Visa Unit at the embassy. So the K1 passes through NVC without processing of documents, paying the fee, or getting an interview assigned.

Hi everyone! Happy to be part of the this thread finally! I am trying to get All the Information I need for the I-134 to send to my Fiancee in London and would just like a confirmation that I got everything in the Packet. I am sending the Signed I-134, a signed note from my boss, a IRS Tax Transcript(with w-2), and my most recent paystub. Is that all? I feel like I might be missing something important.

Signed I-134 and the letter from your boss (if it states your salary) is all you need for London. You have three spare things so nothing to worry about there.

And do not send the NOA2.

Started filling out our D-160...couple of questions....for the primary & secondary numbers do I need to include the "44" for UK prior to the number or just James' UK number? Also- it says you can just bring the photo to the interview if you have problems uploading the photo...has everyone had success uploading the photo or no?

I look at it this way. It is James' form to fill out. He lives in the UK. He is giving information to an embassy in the UK. His phone number wouldn't require extra international dialing codes.

Chris, does the NVC letter go to the Petitioner's address?

Sorry, just saw this-yes, the letter came to my apartment. About 2 weeks after I got the case number via telephone.

That's great, thanks. That means I don't need it at any point, as the beneficiary, I presume. Anything I need to present at any time will be sent to me by the London Embassy?

Only one more full day to get through now before your fiance's interview :)

By the time I go to bed tomorrow, he will be getting up at the break of dawn to tread down to the Embassy! I'm tempted to just stay up until he's finished!

Yes, everything you need on your end will be sent from London. The letter from the NVC just said what our case number was and that it was sent to the respective consulate.

Yeah, Chris, he'd probably appreciate knowing you are awake, if you can manage it. I'll be watching for your post to say he's been approved and letting us know how easy it was for him :)

So our case is in transit to the embassy. I'm really hoping that it arrives and reflects in the system before I have to leave at lunchtime on Friday to head to London for our medicals the next morning so that I can print off the confirmation from our DS160 submission as evidence of our case category and number. We won't get Packet 3 by mail due to my change in address. I saw another thread about presenting this. When I booked the medical the receptionist wanted to know if I had the instructions from the embassy and my case number. I truthfully said yes because the instructions are on the website and we have the case number from NVC. If they want written evidence of this I am going to have to email it to them as soon as we have it. It looks like not everyone is asked for this information and I will explain about the change of address and just say the NVC gave us the advice and information. Otherwise, in the unlikely event that NVC's letter arrives with William before then, I can have him scan and email it to me.

Interesting to know. Keep us posted. Hopefully there will be no issues for you guys.

We will be in the same boat too if not at the embassy yet either when we do because of change of address too.

I'm sure it will be fine. The medical center does not have access to the embassy or NVC system from what I understand. They seem to just need the details so that your results match your file when received at the embassy. Have you heard anything about your case being shipped? I must admit, William and I escaped being conscious of the wait between NOA2 and our case being sent out because we got our approval hours before I flew out to spend a week with him and the world around us all but disappeared while we enjoyed our time together. The night I flew back, we got our notification that it was sent. So I guess we got lucky in that regard. It must be shipping soon, unless it already has and they have been slow to update the system.

Next question, does anyone recall where the thread or post is about paying for the DS160's online? There were some do's and don'ts in said post, but I cannot recall where I read it a couple of months back.

No unfortunatly no news yet. It's been 20 days. So I'm pretty hopeful that it means that it would be already sent just not updated the site. Which I know has been happening a lot. I am going to call this morning to check again to see. Hopefully someone nice lol And I can't post link atm but that's in the guide to London somewhere cause someone posted to me. Hope that helps. And it's amazing what it's like to see each other. Cause you are right the world fades away. I'll keep you posted. Safe trip for everyone on Friday!

Just got of the phone with the most pleasant <_< person at the NVC. She said that our case arrived the 7th, yesterday and that it would take 42 days to get into the system.

SOoooo, should I call back tomorrow or give them a day or two before trying again?

PS. fingers and toes crossed for you Chris (F)

Hey me too! Just got off the phone and our case was received yesterday. And that is the standard response because of the regular immigrant visas I believe. Ours isn't even there that long. So I am going to call back tomorrow for mine. Cause from what I can tell it usually takes about 1 or 2 days to get the case number once they have received it finally. Just happy the finally got it.
