Stuck at NVC... Help Help Help

6th March NOA2 came through. 18th March USCIS website says case sent to NVC

Since then we are calling them every Wednesday and they dont have case. Are we speaking to some lousy agent out there? Do we need to speak to Tier 2 agent ?

So this Wednesday when we call, should we ask "whether they received our case??" or "What is our case no and IIN no?"

Any help folks

Give them 2 weeks from the date your file was sent and call at that point.

K-1 Visa

12.19.2015 WE GOT THE GREEN CARD IN THE MAIL!!!!! No interview :)

they will not have your case number yet, if they have not receive your case yet. It takes a while for them to receive case. then it takes some more time for them to input it into the system and assign a case number

when you call this wed your questions will be " have you received my case"

in 30 days or so when you call you will ask " have a case # been assigned"

if they say yes then you will ask for both case # and IIN#

Interview Result :APPROVED!!!
Visa Received : 4/13/2016 ( they sent us a email stating our visa was ready for pick up)

US Entry :4/29/2016 
Social Security : 5/10/2016 (filed from the actual office)
State ID: 5/14/2016
Started working!!: 5/25/2016
Finally paid green card fee: 6/24/2016 ( note said we will receive it within 60 days)
Green card in hand: 7/5/2016 10 year green card we done!! 

1st king born: 6/30/2016

April 2017 update: Marriage still going strong, baby boy getting bigger. Life is good

It can take up to 8 weeks from NOA2 to case recieved at the NVC.

Actually, I had the same problem. When you call NVC, they will tell you that they haven't received anything and USCIS says they already sent it to NVC and give them 90 days. After waiting for 90 days I talked with an agent and he told me to give him 1 week to follow up. They resent it to NVC. So yeah You have to wait. Call USCIS.

My dates are similar as yours (my NOA2 was March 5th)..

I had called last week but nothing.. called yesterday and NVC received my case March 27; but case# not assigned yet. I was told NVC will mail me case # and instructions in about 30 days.

When you call, first ask "if NVC received your case"; they will respond yes or no. If yes, you can ask what date the case was received.

They will then likely inform you a case# and IIN# has not been assigned yet and to wait. Call back in about 2 weeks.
