On the other hand, they'll obviously need time to execute a transfer.

To my mind, people getting routed to TSC from the beginning doesn't really comprise a transfer...but what do I know... :protest:

I feel really silly for already getting my hopes up yesterday - I should know better by now! :protest:

I found this old pic on an old thread and it shows what the message says when you are being transferred from a service center to another one.

I will also upload the link of the old thread maybe some of people who have time can read the comments and Analise and teach us more about this procedure.

Thanks. They have changed the system in December though - so who knows what a transfer will look like? So far we've had no confirmations of actual transfers.

We wait and see.

Hey everyone,

I just sent my I29-F packet in to Texas last Friday and received the NOA1 today with the transfer to California notice! I'm hoping that this means that things move quickly (well relatively, lol). Good luck everyone!

I class that as a routing, not a transfer. Unless the filer has a SRC number that got sent to CSC, not if they got a WAC number straight away.

Grasping at straws? Maybe. I am just terrified TSC will basically just sit on their old cases and not do anything and I will still be here 4+ months from now. Stressing me out to no end right now... :crying::crying::crying::crying:

I've heard from a recent German filer (as in NOA-1 date 03/27/15) who filed from the same state as me and my fiance did (New Jersey), that they were also routed straight to CSC and got a WAC number. So, more cases coming to light that should have gone to TSC but now go to CSC and get assigned WACs...

I wonder what this means for the rest of us. It means the new filers hit the jackpot - of course we will have to see how much and if this slows CSC down but what happens to the rest of us? Next week will be very interesting...

God, I wish I had some faith in the system...my cynical self thinks that the old cases will just stay at TSC and will be forgotten there.

I'm seeing more and more late March filers who should've been sent to Texas due to the petitioners state being routed to California :( as of March 9th my fiancé and I are 3 months into the TSC wait and this is a further sign that USCIS has no clue how to arrange anything fairly. I hope they pull their finger out and actually transfer people already waiting at TSC who should be seen to first before these new filers. Not for myself as I highly doubt January will move but perhaps like others have suggested, those from November/December should see a transfer so that they can be approves in a timely fashion. I don't know how they justify these actions when there's plenty of people from August and beyond and even beforehand still waiting to see approval from Texas.

Oh well. Just my two cents. Wait and see for us all. Keep positive people!

I assumed that we wouldn't hear anything happen until next week or even the week after next. So I'm not let down at all. Friday was probably the day they were organizing all of the data together to get ready for the transfers. I believe they are going to route some new cases to CSC and then transfer a full load from TSC to CSC. That should definitely even out the balance if they were smart about it. Of course that's only my educated thought...so who knows... bring on the next couple of weeks with optimism! :)

That's what I've been thinking also. Yesterday a part of me kept expecting to get a text or e-mail saying our case got transferred - one dares to dream sometimes -, but I feel like yesterday was more of an internal organization kind of day. Maybe they were setting aside the cases to be transferred and are still going to notify the filers. Maybe their policy will be just routing cases straight to California as it's been happening, but what if they're gonna do both things? Transfer old cases to deal with the backlog and re-route new ones (their standards being unknown, since it's not been happening to all recent filers) to avoid yet a bigger accumulation of work.

I don't know, I'm still hopeful and I'm probably being very naive.

Let's just be positive and wait. After all, waiting is something we're beginning to be pros in.

Hi All,

Has anyone encountered any difficulty accessing there case status on: https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

We were able to check it earlier with no issues, but since March 26th, we are getting a message stating: At this time USCIS cannot provide you with information for your case. Please contact the NCSC 1 (800) 375-5283 for additional information.

Then on March 27th, we read an alert stating they are transferring few cases to balance the overall workload.

Not sure whats happening to our application as we have seem to lost the visibility over our application status.

Fellow journey men/women, please advise.

Kind regards,

ConiMoni

Well, according to Igor's list it has been a very slow week for approvals at the TSC, especially the past two days. Maybe it's because they were so busy getting cases ready for transfer to CSC? We can hope! I know it's too early to tell one way or another, but I wish we had better information! I should probably stop refreshing VJ obsessively, it's not like we'll know anything before Monday at the earliest. :(

Hiya,

no, can't say that I've had that issue. My status has been working solidly since filing. Of course all it has been saying since its input in the system three months ago is case received. :crying:

Timeline

OK for all of you thinking you are still in line and nothing has changed, let me explain something about what I see in this process that bears watching with the new announcement.

I look at this like we are in a line at Disneyland (mind you Disney would never put up with this) and there are two lines for two rides that are exactly the same that sit side by side. Now one ride only takes people from 25 states that are in the south and east of the US. This ride has a problem and can only take so many riders each hour. So as people line up, the line seems to get longer since more people join the ride line than riders going on the ride. So this ride line has been getting longer by the day

Next to it is a second ride that takes people from 25 states in the Midwest and West. This ride has a very efficient crew and seems to be able to keep its line very low and it seems that as soon as you get in line, you get on the ride. This ride now is going to take people from the ride next to it. Where they pick people from the line is open for debate. It seems that they have chosen the last people in line so far. If so... that still is not bad for us in line because.....

...what nobody is looking at is the fact that there are people who have a "Special Pass" that allows them to cut the line, in fact they can cut both lines on both rides. These Special Passes are given to those who have a rider from the Philippines. They have had this pass for the last 2 years and when you analyze it... about 15-20% of ALL riders are from here and get to cut the line always on both rides.

SO... if the plan is (as some suspect) to shift all the new riders from the slow ride to the fast one... I am OK with that as long as they shift over the Special Pass people too. If they do that, then the capacity for all of us in the slow line goes 15-20% faster even if we are doomed to stay in line.

So key to me... watch what happens to the Philippine applications filed at TSC. If they are all shifted, then we can reduce our wait times by 15 to 20% even if they never transfer any of us standing in line.

Good Luck to all in line on the Black Hole of Texas Ride
