Every day in TSC is a bad day :diablo:

Except approval day. For us it was time to open the wine the day we got notification that we were out of Texas :D

That's what I've been thinking also. Yesterday a part of me kept expecting to get a text or e-mail saying our case got transferred - one dares to dream sometimes -, but I feel like yesterday was more of an internal organization kind of day. Maybe they were setting aside the cases to be transferred and are still going to notify the filers. Maybe their policy will be just routing cases straight to California as it's been happening, but what if they're gonna do both things? Transfer old cases to deal with the backlog and re-route new ones (their standards being unknown, since it's not been happening to all recent filers) to avoid yet a bigger accumulation of work.

I don't know, I'm still hopeful and I'm probably being very naive.

Let's just be positive and wait. After all, waiting is something we're beginning to be pros in.

You may be right about this. It is early days. This transfer seems to be proceeding differently to the August one. Regardless of what happens and how, we really hope this is good news for those of you still waiting. If they re-route sufficient petitions, the wait time should reduce.

Call me optimistic, but I believe this transfer is going to much more significant than the one last August.

One of the reasons I think so, is that there wasn't an alert for last year's transfer on the USCIS home page. It was only known about because of those on visa journey reporting it. My prediction is that there will be at least three months worth of petitions transferred. With CSC approving in about 2 weeks, and TSC approving in about 6-7 months on average, this is the only way IMO they will be able to "balance the workload" enough to bridge the gap between the 2 centers. I believe they finally recognize there is a problem here! Thanks to those who have drawn attention to the disparity between the centers via petitions, calls to congress, etc.

I think we will find out more in the next couple of weeks. It will obviously take time to organize the petitions to send over. Routing new petitions to the CSC is only the beginning.

Our K-1 journey:

3/2/2015- Petition sent Fedex overnight

3/3/2015- Petition received (NOA1 according to USCIS website)

3/5/2015- Paper NOA1 notice date

9/1/2015- NOA2!! (182 days)

9/4/2015- sent to NVC

9/17/2015- finally got through to NVC and case number assigned

9/24/2015-Status changed to "in transit"

9/29/2015-Dublin Embassy Received

9/29/2015-Packet 3 Received

10/7/2015- Medical scheduled

10/7/2015- Packet 3/readiness sent (Dublin Embassy needs medical complete before readiness is sent)

10/8/2015- Interview scheduled for Oct 29

10/29/2015- Interview, approved! (241 days)

11/9/2015- Visa in hand

12/30/2015- Planned US entry

I really hope that all the TSC people with NOA1 dates from August and September get worked and finished next week when the petition transfer boxes are cracked open! What a long wait! C'mon, USCIS! Let us all marry!

I've heard from a recent German filer (as in NOA-1 date 03/27/15) who filed from the same state as me and my fiance did (New Jersey), that they were also routed straight to CSC and got a WAC number. So, more cases coming to light that should have gone to TSC but now go to CSC and get assigned WACs...

I wonder what this means for the rest of us. It means the new filers hit the jackpot - of course we will have to see how much and if this slows CSC down but what happens to the rest of us? Next week will be very interesting...

God, I wish I had some faith in the system...my cynical self thinks that the old cases will just stay at TSC and will be forgotten there.

OK for all of you thinking you are still in line and nothing has changed, let me explain something about what I see in this process that bears watching with the new announcement.

I look at this like we are in a line at Disneyland (mind you Disney would never put up with this) and there are two lines for two rides that are exactly the same that sit side by side. Now one ride only takes people from 25 states that are in the south and east of the US. This ride has a problem and can only take so many riders each hour. So as people line up, the line seems to get longer since more people join the ride line than riders going on the ride. So this ride line has been getting longer by the day

Next to it is a second ride that takes people from 25 states in the Midwest and West. This ride has a very efficient crew and seems to be able to keep its line very low and it seems that as soon as you get in line, you get on the ride. This ride now is going to take people from the ride next to it. Where they pick people from the line is open for debate. It seems that they have chosen the last people in line so far. If so... that still is not bad for us in line because.....

...what nobody is looking at is the fact that there are people who have a "Special Pass" that allows them to cut the line, in fact they can cut both lines on both rides. These Special Passes are given to those who have a rider from the Philippines. They have had this pass for the last 2 years and when you analyze it... about 15-20% of ALL riders are from here and get to cut the line always on both rides.

SO... if the plan is (as some suspect) to shift all the new riders from the slow ride to the fast one... I am OK with that as long as they shift over the Special Pass people too. If they do that, then the capacity for all of us in the slow line goes 15-20% faster even if we are doomed to stay in line.

So key to me... watch what happens to the Philippine applications filed at TSC. If they are all shifted, then we can reduce our wait times by 15 to 20% even if they never transfer any of us standing in line.

Good Luck to all in line on the Black Hole of Texas Ride

Well said. But hope all the special pass go to the other line. The thing is that we don't kNOW how they will do. HOW that will works. The only thing that we can't do now is waiting hiphone for the best. And who had faith IN something start to pray for whatever YOU belive. I just want to start my LIFE. My family. Try to get pregnante with my Soon to be husband by my Side.

That's great news. Very happy for her. I'm an early January filer, do you think it is worth getting my fiancé to call? I doubt that January would be transferred but I guess anything could happen with USCIS.
