Help! Return flight was not canceled? :(

9 posts in this topic

Ok, so I came with a round trip flight, and then i contacted the agency where I bought it and asked them to cancel it. They were very unhelpful, but at the end said they will do it. Now i decided to check my I-94 just in case and it shows I departed US on March 16th :protest: Is this going to be a problem for my AOS? Is there any way to fix it?

Seems like they didn't cancel your ticket. How long before March 16 did you call them?

Comment: only have airline cancel return leg.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

You need to contact the CBP about the mistake on your I-94 record. http://www.cbp.gov/contact/deferred-inspection/overview-deferred-inspection

And make an Infopass and take evidence(unused ticket, confirmation from airline, etc.) you did not depart. If it had to do with a round trip ticket you never canceled, then you need to contact the airline directly about the fact you never used that ticket. http://www.uscis.gov/save/benefit-applicants/how-correct-your-records-0

Yes, this is my fault partly. :bonk: I had to contact the airline directly, not deal with these guys. I started talking to them in February, but through email so it took a while. They were sending me from one office to another, it looked like I was the first person ever requesting to cancel a flight  Anyway at least i saw this on time, before i get a RFE or something. :) Thank you for the info, everyone, I will start calling places tomorrow and try to fix this asap.

Edit: Oops, spoke too soon. I just checked my status and they mailed me a RFE on March 19th :dead:

Suggest personal visit, instead, to cbp office. Not use phone.

I will try... We live in the middle of nowhere and don't have a car, so it's a little hard to travel... and the closest office appears to be 4 hours away :jest: However I spoke with a person at the local USCIS office today and according to him it shouldn't be a problem. I will still do all i can to fix the I-94 though.
