Well seems like from what we have concluded if the return address on the envelope or the letter itself says from a field office, then your file is at that office. The last three from the SR does not mean a thing that's why I asked. So it sounds to me at least it moved from NBC. But how long now? Well..... that's the standard answer they give.

If that is the case they blatantly lie in the SR response, the last one I got before being approved had the Dallas field office address on the envelope but the letter itself said it was still at the NBC, but then I was approved the week later so that made no sense, it must've been at Dallas..

Yup, agreed, just standard/canned letters, that are of no information in the letter itself, that's why I asked about the address to see where it really seems to be. I remember from your SR, that they don't have proper writing skills either!

was yours approved at Dallas? again previous posts indicate that my application should not be forwarded to my home office (Newark). we recently just sent re-app for EAD and an application for her AP - we never filed that one before, but we hope to travel soon, and the green card is dubious at the moment. maybe that will give them a push to approve. then again, we are at the tail end of the April filers, and we had our biometrics scheduled late compared to others. ETA? maybe in a month or two for our green card...

Very strange. Do you log in to do so? If you do log in, what I would advise is disable your automatic log in, if you have it on automatic. Then log in with a new email address and see if that works. Currently the USCIS seems to be working on March and April filers, I am presuming once they finish those they will be on to May and June, you can ask for a service request once it shows your local field office is working on your dates, although they don't go to the local field office!

yeah, it is strange. I tried to have an account and register my receipt number on their website to give me automatic updates but when I tried to register my receipt number, it rejected the number because the website does not have registered status with my case number. I know even if i call, what they will say is the same thing. One time I just called and asked them to tell me the status of my case because I can't see anything online and they told me what the website says and nothing more! so I think i just have to wait for few months and see what happens. thanks for your help

When did you decide to apply for your AP/ EAD renewal? Mine will be up in August, so I don't know how long to wait for the GC.

It'll be 6 months of waiting next month.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

The need for this new thread is Funny and Sad! I guess if you don't laugh you cry. We just mailed off our EAD/AP renewal application.

One of the most frustrating things right now is that my husband is in graduate school and we thought he could finally be approved for in-state tuition fees (after one year of state residency which he has) but now they are telling him that because he is in "petition" stage with USICIS he can't even be eligible for in-state fees, forgetting about financial aid which we know requires a GC. Very aggravating for him to have gone through so many hoops and now be stuck like this and continually made to feel not valid yet!

I'm a little late, but Congrats on the approval!

Do you know an easy way to find an inexpensive civil surgeon?

I really hope so, over a year is way too long to wait for GC only to receive a dreaded RFE.

My advice is to call around to a couple of civil surgeons to get the cheapest, that's what we did. Also, wait until you get the dreaded letter, as some have just asked for the vaccination page to be updated, where as we were asked to do the full medical again. It'll depend on what mood the IO was in when they reviewed your file.

What was the SR RESPONSE of that letter before you got approved a week later?

I just received my EAD receipt notice today. They were delivered March 13. Still no GC. I did 2 SRs and ombudsman and nothing still. AOS 4/16
