Aha, talking about how backlogs are addressed and resources are deployed.

Met in 2010 on a forum for a mutual interest. Became friends.
2011: Realized we needed to evaluate our status as friends when we realized we were talking about raising children together.

2011/2012: Decided we were a couple sometime in, but no possibility of being together due to being same sex couple.

June 26, 2013: DOMA overturned. American married couples ALL have the same federal rights at last! We can be a family!

June-September, 2013: Discussion about being together begins.

November 13, 2013: Meet in person to see if this could work. It's perfect. We plan to elope to Boston, MA.

March 13, 2014 Married!

May 9, 2014: Petition mailed to USCIS

May 12, 2014: NOA1.
October 27, 2014: NOA2. (5 months, 2 weeks, 1 day after NOA1)
October 31, 2014: USCIS ships file to NVC (five days after NOA2) Happy Halloween for us!

November 18, 2014: NVC receives our case (22 days after NOA2)

December 17, 2014: NVC generates case number (50 days after NOA2)

December 19, 2014: Receive AOS bill, DS-261. Submit DS-261 (52 days after NOA2)

December 20, 2014: Pay AOS Fee

January 7, 2015: Receive, pay IV Fee

January 10, 2015: Complete DS-260

January 11, 2015: Send AOS package and Civil Documents
March 23, 2015: Case Complete at NVC. (70 days from when they received docs to CC)

May 6, 2015: Interview at Montréal APPROVED!

May 11, 2015: Visa in hand! One year less one day from NOA1.

I keep shouting "Don't lie"!!!

I was saying the same thing at that part.

Aha, talking about how backlogs are addressed and resources are deployed.

They didn't spend enough time on the backlog subject, or even differences of the Service Centers. They only care about DAPA/DACA right now.

It's intensely obvious that the senator speaking, Mr. Sessions, does not understand at ALL how USCIS operates in regards to LEGAL immigration or what kinds of evidence are expected from ANYONE. He's acting like this is some kind of thing that USCIS has never done before--evaluating applications.

And yeah, no, they didn't talk about that long enough.

I WAS glad to see that USCIS employs so many vets.

It ended without addressing the issues that plague legal immigration nor our issue in particular. How very disappointing.

I became annoyed at how policy-type questions were being asked of these three when they have no effect on such policy making. They simply implement according to the policies that they are given. Ergo, they do what they're told. I would have much preferred to see a more helpful discussion about things that they have direct control over, such as backlogs and the I-129F processing time imbalance in particular.

But it was really more of a forum for political statement, not agency oversight.

9/8/14 - I129F petition sent to the USCIS lockbox via USPS

I just read that the DHS has been funded but I guess the expanded DACA and DAPA are still being blocked through the courts?

Yes. As of today the injunction remains in effect.

Good. I am glad there is an injunction against it. Why should people that are here illegally be put above those of us who have done everything legal? Just before the injunction I sent in a check for ROC on my wife's green card. I was half tempted not to send it in the money in protest, then my smart wife talked some sense into me.

OUTREACH TO CONGRESS YIELDED QUESTIONS IN OUR INTERESTS (I listened to all 3 hours)

Senator Cruz received communications about Legal before Illegal petitions and about the DACA AP game which would make DACA inspected admission and then those with Family/Employer based support for AOS to LPR could ------- this could be 3 - 5 million additional persons. This versus 500,000 AOS processed currently per the Associate Director of Field Directorate Mr. Renaud in testimony. HOW MANY YEARS WILL YOU WAIT FOR AOS IN 2016 ???????????

Senator Tillis about no name checks on DACA applications. LPR has Name Check with derivate re-verification of alternative names.

Senator Sessions received copies of the Legal before Illegal petitions with associated backlog findings.

Senator Sessions points out the Affidavit and Fake Document game with DACA. No field support. No cross-verification support. New hires. An impossibility for responsible implementation

MOST IMPORTANTLY: 3 Total Staff at Crystal City online... without the stay, the workload have would crushed the other departments.

ANOTHER POINT: OUTREACH WORKS

Again, outreach to these Members resulted in representation of some of the common concerns of persons in the legal immigrant community.

Furthering the point, we all must write more letters and continue the outreach.
