You are 100% not alone. This sort of thing has been happening on VJ ever since I started reading here in Oct 2014, and probably longer. That's why there's a locked thread at the top of the "Service Centers" forum page about how this site is for support, not judgement. Because the mods are on the CSC filers's side of this argument. They don't consider them gloating. But they do consider requests to knock off the gloating to be out of line.

But don't worry. I had the same reaction. I have just stopped typing about it to them because (a) the mods don't like it and thread-ban people, and make it look like you're the problem (b) doing so has gotten me personally harassed in PM by people here (I wish I saved it. She's a real witch, and the harassing message was HILARIOUS but it disappeared as soon as I blocked her) © those people are basically all completely blind to the reality of this process from our side of things. Part of me doesn't blame them--they don't know what they don't know (although if someone says, hey, so I know you didn't mean it but that's pretty insensitive can you knock it off they should FREAKING STOP rather than act all injured that you're not happy for them). I AM really upset that everyone who filed after March 27 who went to CSC basically as US to thank for it (all of our really hard work pushing for a change), and they're some of the gloaters, meanwhile I still have MONTHS to go. I am part of the reason they're done in a month. But again. They don't know what they don't know.

Mostly, a good chunk of me just hopes that they (not all CSC filers, not even all gloaters, just the gloaters who can't say "sorry, my bad" and move on) get stuck in AP for a year, or wind up with some jerk who takes them to the cleaners, or have fallen for "puppy love" and get to experience the nastiest divorce to end all nasty divorces, or choke on their wedding cake. Sorry, not sorry.

LOL... I had whiskey sour coming out of my nose reading this. Love it!!!!!

You Rock Cat!

K-1 Journey

10/22/2015 K1 Visa in hand. Son's K2 visa only valid for 6 months (W-T-F-?) Thought good for 1 year. Inquire at consulate and told visa good only as long as the medical which is 6 months K2 VISAS NOT GOOD FOR 1 YEAR AS ADVERTISED ON DOS WEBSITE!
10/29/2015 POE Chicago; Easiest pass through for Linh in her 4 previous entries.
11/2/2015: Not tuned in enough to Social Security not to pick "the first day of the month" to try to get signed up. Read VJ advice, it's spot on, we had a processor who knew K1. We were in the SAVE database in 3 days so it was easy after a 2 hour wait.

5/25/2016 Walk in for a "junior" Biometrics for an 11 year old (supposedly not required). Oops wrote down the wrong day, appointment was for 5/23/2016. USCIS office was nice and accepted us 2 days late.

7/19/2016 The USCIS.GOV is now working for our AOS application. Is there light at the end of the tunnel? Seems others have access to USCIS.GOV Check Case now. Glitch fixed?

while it is frustrating... I know we are all right around the corner from getting our approvals! go out enjoy the last weeks of summer and before you know it you will have a text or email saying it has finally been approved!

I would think that as backed up they are - they would be working weekends. I mean I work loans and only have 50 and I feel I work ever single day. Mine are not nearly as important as VISA applications. lol I am going to really start to stress and worry when it is the middle of august and I still haven't heard anything. Then I am going to be concerned that my petition is lost somewhere.. and get upset! But fingers crossed I won't have to wait till then.

I'm Feb 9th so I should be coming as well.

Go out enjoy the weekends ;-) call your loved one tell them its almost done..

2nd go round

1st K-1 Denied

Subitted Feb 2-6-15

NOA1 - 2-18-15

It's hard not to get frustrated and upset...my fiancé and I are together in UK until I have to go back to school in the States at the end of August...I just want to get a NOA2 so that I know it won't be long until I see him again when I have to leave. ?

Yes, sorta makes you wish you didn't do it the "right way", huh? It's sad; it's almost like they're discouraging us from following the legal procedures with these wait times. Meanwhile people come over on tourists visas, get married, apply for an AOS, and usually don't have a problem -- it's much faster and the couple never has to be apart. USCIS sure has a screwy incentive system.

That's exactly how we feel. Not a day goes by where we don't regret applying for K1. I was seriously thinking about marrying my fiance on my next trip to the U.S. on B2, but we realize it would be much harder to convince them we didn't intend to marry and apply for AOS with a cancelled K1 in our history.

Yeah, filing the K1 is kind of the nail in the coffin if you ever intended on doing that. It's ok, they say patience is a virtue, right? And good things come to those who wait? Let's hope

I know, it's too late now! The good part is our relationship is definitely getting stronger and more enduring with this wait.. Can a CSC filer say the same? Uh, I don't think so :P

Im getting so excited... I can see feb filers starting to get accepted.. What confuses me is that on Igors list there are soooo many people still not approved from months before.. how do they work over there????

Also random q - when would people advise on handing in notice at work.. Once medical booked? Or visa stamped in hand? I know it depends on each persons scenario, but im just curious
