I think the general consensus on VJ is to wait at least 10 days(business days I believe) before calling NVC and also to ignore the 35 day wait time that is stated in the recorded message when calling.

The NVC number to call is: 603-334-0700 you will need: SRC receipt number from USCIS Name and Date of Birth of Beneficiary Name and Date of Birth of Petitioner There open until Midnight.

Congratulations Wbeem, Andie, Curlies, Jignid and everyone else who is moving through..I haven't congratulated anyone in a while, so pardon me if I don't remember your names off the top of my head....ours went to status "Ready" today, since my fiance has a daughter who is coming also, we now have two cases 01 and 02, and both statuses are "Ready".

Congratulations Wbeem, Andie, Curlies, Jignid and everyone else who is moving through..I haven't congratulated anyone in a while, so pardon me if I don't remember your names off the top of my head....ours went to status "Ready" today, since my fiance has a daughter who is coming also, we now have two cases 01 and 02, and both statuses are "Ready".

Great news! ... amazing feeling to be at this stage and not worrying constantly. So now you can deal with the consulate and life will be easier. We are waiting for Package 3 which should be sent out in the next few days. More papers and details to sort out but exciting times!

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number
Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere,and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .

Your transit through NVC went pretty quickly... great news !! Suddenly everyone is busy and things are moving fast.. :D

Thank you! I also have a child going with me (Lee posting here - beneficiary). Did you get two case numbers from NVC or is it the two beneficiary ID's you are referring to? Or did you put in the one number and it showed up as two when it was received? I'm confused about this as there is so little information on the K2 process.

Isn't it, though! I'm still enjoying the refreshing novelty of not going to bed every night with my phone in my hand. I'm certain that's how I wrecked my data sync cable, and probably volunteered myself as an electrical hazzard in the process -_-

I still laugh at how excited I get when there is progress on your case, since you are a day ahead of us (give or take the weekends that interrupt weekly). We are just waiting for ours to get to London. I hope it arrives before I leave on Friday for the medical so that we can print off some confirmation of our case numbers and visa category to present at the appointment. Not sure if they are going to insist on it, but we know that packet 3 won't arrive (sent by mail in the UK) due to my change of address and USCIS' failure to update it as per our request.

It's the consulate specific number that starts with three letters with an added suffix of 01 and 02 to indicate the two cases, I assume one for the fiance and one for her daughter, I guess to indicate the two visas, k1 and k2.

It was A productive day for me....went to police office and order my record. Prepared for all pictures for interview and medical check....filled out DS-160....omg it took so long to answered and finished all the questions;;;

Now I'm having hard time take digital photo for DS-160 tho....;;

But so Glad to hear everyone's case is moving forward :)
