Hi, yes we did. It went to William and I believe it was a text, followed by an email advising of an update in the status of our case, which he then checked online. The case status changed from "My case was approved...." to "My case has been sent ...." Something along those lines. Apparently some people don't get the notification, despite having signed up for it. It may be worth monitoring your case status online.

Ahhh - I think I am one of the people who isn't getting the notificiation? Grrrr! I would have thought with an NOA2 of 3/20 I would have had a status change by now. :( What could be holding up my petition being sent to NVC?

More worries. I hate it.

If the notification didn't come through, it may well have already been sent and you just don't know about it yet. Our NOA2 date is four days before yours. I called NVC twice today and they didn't have our case yet. I called again about 30 minutes ago and was told that our case is there, on the system but awaiting a number to be assigned. Yours should not be far behind ours.

That's the truth! Yes, they said they have it and should allow a few weeks to get a case number assigned. Then the agent said, "but you can try again tomorrow." I was going to anyway :D

I apologize in advance if this was already discussed. My notice now states the information is "in transit." Under this message it says "your interview date was provided to you by the NVC". Is that my fiancé's? Will we get a letter I'm assuming?

London does not schedule an interview until the medical results have been received. When you case arrives at the consulate, your fiancé will receive the letter of instructions (there's a link to it on the UK forum - it's all electronic). the interview letter seems to arrive within a couple of weeks of the medical. This is what is referred to as Packet 4.

I hope you and your family are doing oK.

Thank you!! That's what I thought for UK. Now I'm trying to figure out this whole DHL tracking thing. I keep looking at what worked for other people but no luck here. My grandfather died on Sunday so maybe I'll try again when I can see out my eyes and they aren't puffy!!

Thanks again!!!

Because of the way the London consulate handles the interview appointments, it seems that the cases get there in a week or less. Friday and Monday are holidays here and the embassy doesn't open, but if your case is not there by the end of the week it should be there by next week. I wouldn't worry too much about DHL tracking for the UK. Please let us know if you need any help. There's a UK forum thread for those between NVC and interview stage that might be useful.

So sorry to hear about your loss.

Just called the NVC, and I was able to get my Case #, Invoice #, and Beneficiary ID.

My understand is that now, all the next steps really depend on the individual consulate. Mine is Bombay, so time to begin figuring out what we can and cannot do now that we have the Case #.
