Timeline

The rest? 180d plus. Sometimes significantly more. 6.5 - 7months is your best bet these days.

What Maria says

It's actually on and around 200 days for TSC now though in the last couple of days it has gone down slightly to just above 190. But I believe the downhill trend is because they have been processing more of end of July applicants than beginning of July.

There were a few factors that threw off the Visa Journey timeline this year. I don't know what the accuracy was like before. Approvals over the last month or two have hovered between 195 and 210 days. Expedited cases and incorrectly completed timelines where members confuse the lockbox for a service center give falsely reduced timescale statistics. Our timeline estimate on here has moved between early October 2014 (can you believe?!) and late March of this year. We are still waiting. Over 6 months now. And we are not alone.

The only limited amount of control you have over the speed of this process is when it leaves NVC. If you have your stuff together and are ready for each next step you might shave days or even a couple of weeks off the final steps. Other than that, there is nothing you can do.

This is veering off-topic, but the USA really has a low % of immigrants when factoring in per-capita. It's 65th in the world in fact- woo hoo!

http://www.npr.org/2014/10/29/359963625/dozens-of-countries-take-in-more-immigrants-per-capita-than-the-u-s

Of course a lot of them are places like Singapore and Luxembourg, which aren't comparable whatsoever. Even when throwing out places like those plus the Gulf States, there are a few others that are reasonable comparisons. Australia and Canada seem to have better immigration systems than the US does. Yes, their populations are 1/10th of ours, but they have a higher % of immigrants from all over the world too.

Your Timeline's jacked up & in desparate need of some TLC.

Hint: It starts in the NVC Received field, specifically referring to the year & continues for the duration.

Hello all!

Our K-1 Visa was officially documented by the TSC on January 12, 2015 and we recieved our hard-copy NOA1 on January 15, 2015.

I would like to be realistic with this whole process. If it helps to determine, my fiancé is from England (UK) no criminal records, etc. and everything is in good standing.

I would like to know my realistic chances of having our wedding this August? What about September? Or October at the latest?

I know the TSC tends to take the longest, but we agreed that any of those three months that I listed would be just fine for our wedding.

Does anyone have any input? I know we are all apart from our fiances for a while, but this forum will help me cope since we're all in this together! :)

I would say absolutely ZERO! I am now just days away from seven months and no relief in sight. I actually called at the end of December to start in inquiry and the response to my inquiry came on January 16 just simply saying we are still within our range of time so......just wait longer! I found out I was pregnant just a few weeks after mailing off my packet and was planning on being married before our daughter was born. Seemed so very realistic at the time. Well, guess what? I am due in just five short weeks and still not even a NOA2 from the TSC. No RFE, nothing. So now not only am I not married before she's going to be born, I'm beginning to think I'll be lucky if it even happens some time this year! TSC is RIDICULOUS!!

Also, I know they say it doesn't matter. But do you really think that if a lawyer or professional preparerer prepared your application you have a quicker shot? I'm beginning to think that's how they wean people out. So the couples who had theirs reviewed by professionals get first priority. However, we'll never know...

hello charlie, we are in the same boat, i am with texas i received my noa1 yesterday,i am with attorney, and she told us It is currently taking approximately 180 days from the receipt date until USCIS approval, and then another 10 days before we receive a Notice of Approval from the USCIS.

if you heard that maybe people with attorney may get the process faster tell me, its the first time i hear someone doubt that, i hope so plus, i was in visa journey page on facebook, k1 filler got her noa2 fast and she said that is because she enlisted a senator, i dont know how can someone do that, or if that was with the help from her attorney, this process its a patience game, hope to hear something first september and pray to hear even less than that

and here is this link it will give you better image about this process with texas, u will find noa1 to noa2 and how many days it took for this
