SSN is easy, go to the happy SS office, take a copy of his I94, passport & fill in the form - in theory a nice, helpful person who knows their job will behind the glass and the process will are about 10 mins

Yeah actually, Alex's experience was definitely similar to this! We printed everything before going, he was done in like 20 mins, and they said it would take about 10 business days to process. Will update when it's here.

Congrats JFH, hopefully your flight was quick and quiet and you're happy with your hubby glad yule to you tomorrow~

Is anyone else waiting for their Packet 3 for the Spouse visa? Filing DCF via London. NOA2 was dated December 16. Just trying to find someone on the same timeline, or someone who has recently gone through it.

I just got my Ohio driving license- thought i might have been told to come back with the proper paperwork as when reading up on recent ones they said you require your EAD to get license. I only had my  i-797 for AOS,  SSN in maiden name, passport with the K1 visas in it. At least i have a photographic ID now while I wait for green card. The driving test wasnt that bad actually all over in 10 mins.

What's the most recent interview date assigned for the UK embassy? Just wondering where we are at. 6 weeks for case complete is on Monday for us, wondering about where the interview will sit. I know generally it's like 4 weeks just curious what is currently going on.

Holding my breath for my husband's; we just left the DMV, they said they may not approve the application til after he gets his EAD or GC but they let him take the test. How quickly after taking your test did you get your license?

I got my license same day.  In at 1pm for test had license in hand by 2.10pm. It might be a state thing.  But if he has bank statement in his name with i-797thst should do also.  Good luck.

Anyone moving to the U.S in the next week or so? Flying out Sunday 15th, can't wait!

I was approved at interview yesterday on a CR-1 visa. When is it likely to see my ceac visa status change and the status change on the courier website? The ceac status is still showing as ready.

Hi all, first time I've posted here in a while. Got the job at Walgreens and they've been working me like a dog

We were approved today!!! They let me in with Jon as well. I wasn't on the list, but the nice girl outside let me in after calling the IV unit!

Congrats! This thread has become pretty large indeed! To reduce server loads I will need to close this "large thread" however please feel free to start a "part 2, 3, 4..." of this thread from scratch! :)Thank you for understanding. My goal is to make the VJ server as snappy as possible .
