Comments : Interviewed in Norfolk, VA. Appointment was 15-20 minutes long. They asked questions from the I-751 form for us to answer about the other person (birthdays, date and place of wedding etc.) Then went over documents we brought in for submission (one of every most recent bill, most recent lease, photos with descriptions/location/date, travel details from a recent trip). Lastly, asked if we had any questions and explained the next steps for citizenship. We were approved!

Event Description

Embassy Review : Interview completed! My husband's name wasn't on the list but he has his proof of appointment so they took care of him (remember to print out confirmation of appointment/carrier). Submitted I-864 (they mentioned something about W2 but we had pay stubs back to September as well as tax transcripts so it was ok). They appreciated the extra copies of papers we had, saved them time and was able to move the interview along faster. Paid fee. And then asked a couple questions (how we met, what my parents do, and who is supporting us). No "proof" needed. And then said that he was approved! And that was it! 1.5 hours max. They commented saying that our process was the quickest they've seen since our NOA2 was mid December. Expecting our passport back this weekend and hoping to fly this Sunday. Such a relief. So much weight lifted off our shoulders. Reunited soon enough!
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
