1. 16 pictures of us together. I had said we lived in various countries (England then Japan) so I tried to show that in our pics! But I'd say 12 would be fine.

This is a really good point, and something I'd like to add to. Make sure the photos aren't just "selfies" of the two of you, but rather, photos that demonstrate various activities, such as various locations, like shana.mike has pointed out.

For example, we included a photo from a trip to the zoo, and another from a surprise party I threw him. This is a subtle way of saying "Look! We are a real couple with joint lives, despite being apart!". Anyone can take selfies :)

Does anyone know if there is a list that shows what Forms have to be filled out for everything from k-1 visa to the us citizenship? I know roughly what forms are required for the k-1 visa but I've seen a lot here and there of forms needed for the interview for k-1 visa, AOS, and lifting conditions of residence. Sorry for multiple questions on my one post :/ I appreciate everyone's help, I would never be able to do this if it weren't for kind VJer's like you guys!!(:

I think the K1 flow chart in the guides, and the guides in general, should give a good overview :)

The link that Pheebs links you to is a great way to start cluing up on what's to come in the future. But don't worry too much AOS just yet, because the prep for the interview is a bit of a faff. Here's an awesome guide in the UK forum: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/474161-london-k1-a-complete-guide/It has pretty much everything you need to know.

Hi again,

I'm starting to make copies of everything for our I-129 packet and I wanted to know what passport pages you have to have a copy of. Is it just the main page with your info and any pages with stamps from you visiting or is it every page, even the blank ones? Also, when making copies of these pages do they have to be in color or is black and white ok? Please help! xx

While the USCIS people just need one evidence of meeting within the last two years. However front loading the petition if you have met more than once is for the eventual embassy interview. We met 6 times before his interview and I am sure it helped with the final decision

I copied every single page, blank or not of both passports

If you have a birth certificate to prove US citizenship of the petitioner, then the full passport isn't needed to prove the same.

Look at for what were my evidences:

- just the passport pages showing entry stamps (I highlighted them) and the bio page. My fiance has naturalization certificate and despite of some help here he decided to use only the pages with significant entry stamps.

- Black and white

-12 color photos on sheets of paper and legends

- stamped envelopes

- Itineraries and boarding passes (I did a chronological time)

- Hotel receipts

- gifts receipts

- screenshot of our email box and google driver folders

- screenshot of my status 'engaged' on facebook

- 2 or 3 emails conversations with translation

And we got approval with no issues 16 days after NOA1!

In my opinion as an experience person who has completed the whole immigration thing from fiancé to US citizenship for my British husband without a stumble--

1. More is not better if it overloads your file so much they can't find the relevant things that actually count. The important required things to document are:

--one is a US citizen (birth certificate)

--both are free to marry (divorce decrees if applicable)

--and intend to marry within 90 days (statements from each)

--have met in person at least once in the last two years

2. Nowhere in the actual USCIS instructions does it say you have to convince them of your undying love with a hundred pages of Skype messages and social medial fluff. Maybe there is a usefulness to showing some communication samples if one is American and the other is Chinese, but you two speak English as your native language.

3. Half a dozen photos is good. Twenty is clutter.

4. If any part of this process requires more than a Priority Mail (light cardboard) flat mailer, you are sending too much.

5. A color inkjet printer/scanner/copier is the BEST investment you can buy when you start immigration. This is just the beginning of years of paperwork. Don't depend on the office copy machine. Keep records of everything you mail off. But yes black and white will be okay for your photocopies.

Now I'll quit preaching because it isn't even Sunday. Good luck to you. :)

It is easy for you to say bring the bare minimum of evidence. Those from the UK aren't scrutinized as heavily

Exactly. Just because something isn't in a regional forum, doesn't mean we can't offer embassy specific advise! Geez.

Thank you so much for this post. My fiancé is from Australia, so I think we're on the same level of how much we need to include and how we'll be scrutinized. I was panicking because I recently moved and lost majority of the boarding passes I'd been saving for this process. Knowing we technically only need to provide proof of ONE visit, not 7+ is extremely helpful.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
