I know nothing about bans so hopefully someone here with experience will chime in.

That being said, if he can get a visa and does it legally, summer is out of the question anyway. Cr1 doesn't process that quickly.

Sounds like he was at least deported. Usually that comes with other issues and bans.

A K1 visa could get him here by summer IF they are assigned to CSC. Someone on the November 2014 thread was approved today and will be travelling in feb.

I find it very odd that someone, especially someone from a low fraud country would try and take an illegal route to residency, when there are so many options available to them. I would advise your friend to join VJ and study the guides carefully. If he loves his girlfriend from Michigan, he will prove this by going through the legal process with her like the rest of us. If he doesn't want to risk their future together, he will do the right thing.

If he's not willing to do that, one has to question his motives.

P.S I suppose if they both moved to the UK and got married, DCF could also be achieved by summer.

Word of advice to the g\f; you may be in love, but think about what you’re getting into!

The paperwork related issues that prevent him from getting married in the US and led to his deportation obviously need to be sorted out before these two even consider getting married and settling in the US. Trying to get in illegally.. I mean really?

Like others have posted, marriage to a USC does not automatically confer a US visa.

Not too likely either because for UK DCF you need proof of residency for the USC in the UK. The UK spouse requirements are pretty stringent, so unless she's got an EU passport....
