Withdrawing Approved I-129F (Case Already at Embassy)

Hi all, I know this question has been asked before, but I've searched and can't seem to find an answer. My I-129F was approved and sent to the consulate in Casablanca, which has shown status "Ready" since mid-November. In the meantime, my fiancé and I decided to separate. I want to withdraw my petition, but am not sure how to go about it. I emailed the Immigrant Visa Unit at the consulate for more info on how to proceed -- would this be the correct unit? (Or does the Non-Immigrant Visa Unit handle K-1s?). Thanks so much for any guidance you can provide.

Write a letter and include all information about you and petitioner to the Consualte where your interview is to be conducted.

As back up send one to USCIS and one to DOS, they will just forward this to the Consulate where interview is to take place.

After a month or two you should receive a letter saying your petition has been withdrew by Petitioner

USCIS no longer has jurisdiction, so contacting them would be pointless.

Sending a copy to the NVC as well as the embassy is probably a good idea though.

Sending to USCIS they will send you a letter saying they have forwarded the information/letter to Consulate / Embassy where the Interview is to take place

This is used as a back up and paperwork trail...

To withraw petition uscis need to know.

Uscis is the one that close the petition, so he or she need send a letter to uscis too.

USCIS no longer has jurisdiction, so contacting them would be pointless.

I would send formal letters to USCIS, NVC and embassy. That way you are sure to include all. I would also email all those institutions. Better to many than too few...

Yeah, send letter to all (embassy, NVC, and USCIS),

and also don't provide any supporting documents and/or

information to your beneficiary to proceed with the K1 visa interview.

Write a letter withdrawing your petition and include a copy of your NOA2 so they know the exact details of the petition you are wanting to withdraw. Send a copy of that letter to both the USCIS service center that approved the petition, and to the consulate where the petition was sent awaiting the beneficiary's K-1 visa application.

The petitioner may also choose to send a signed request to cancel the petition through their legal representative.
