My Filippina fiancee got her K1 visa approved today at the UESM in Manila. From start to end, meaning the date of filing the I-129F at the USCIS until today's approval, it took a total of 4,5 months, much much faster than I expected initially. She plans to arrive in the US at the NYC PoE on Valentine's Day February 14, which we will celebrate in New York City. Thanks to all here at the forum for answering all our questions.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

10/25: Mailed my I-129F using USPS Express to Texas Lockbox


10/27: NOA 1 notification from USCIS


10/30: NOA 1 Hard copy received in the mail


12/15: NOA 2 Email/Text (49 Days)


12/17: USCIS Sent case to NVC


12/29: NVC Received Case


12/30: MNL# Assigned


1/6: USEM Received Case "Ready"


1/29: Interview :dancing: (APPROVED)

June 2013: Met whilst working at a summer camp in Michigan 

K1

November 1st 2014: I-129f submitted for K1 visa

February 24th 2015: Visa in hand!

February 26th 2015: POE at Las Vegas airport, then onwards to Oregon! 

March 6th 2015: Marriage (with a "real" wedding to follow next year on 7/6/2016)

March 9th 2015: AOS, EAD & AP submitted

September 22nd 2015: Interview

January 14th 2016: Two year Green card received -phew!

ROC

August 8th 2017: 90 day window begins! ROC time!

September 28th 2017: Biometric Appointment in Portland, OR

March 5th 2018: Case received by local office

August 18th 2018: 18 month extension letter mailed

December 2018: Case moved to another office

February 2019: I was emailed that I was approved and my card was in production the same day of my N400 interview 😂

N400

August 8th 2018: Window opens to submit naturalization application

August 13th 2018: N400 Application submitted online 

August 14th 2018: NOA1

September 6th 2018: Biometrics

February 6th 2019: Interview Date! APPROVED!

February 6th 2019: I was asked to return later the same day for my Oath Ceremony! :dance:

She does not have the visa in hand? Is that correct, maybe I read it wrong, but that is the way I read it.

VJ.com 'golden rule' never buy a ticket for anything, "until you have visa in hand".,.,., maybe you do.

But, reading your post, I don't think so.

There can be delays in issuing and getting the visa, 'in your hand' and 2GO is not the most trusted company in the delivery business.

You also, probably have the CFO seminar, and they take about the first 20 to 25 on certain days, and you probably have not done that.

Plans are great, all I am saying is, "certain things have to happen" before you can buy an airplane ticket.

Maybe I am reading wrong, and you have all that, if so great, my wife is Filipino, and there is nothing any better than a 'good' Filipino wife.
