i filed my family based petition for my wife

On July of 2013. We had a split interview and everything went well. I asked the IO when can I expect the decision from yall. She told me that it should be within a week. I went on more than 6 info pass appointment, made several inquiry through the lawyer, made an inquiry through the senator, each and everytime they keep telling me background check on her. I have no clue what to do? She has a clean record. She don't have even a traffic ticket in her record. I know they are lying and feel like filing for writs of mandamus but my lawyer is too expensive. If anybody here is going through the same problem and have a solution to it Please let me know. Thank you

We had the same issue, it is her fingerprints from biometrics. Something is wrong with her fingerprints and they will not automatically clear her. It took us almost two years. File with Ombudsman. Also, ask them to have her retake her fingerprints. We did not get approved until after 2nd set was a perfect set of fingerprints.

She was on her f1 when we get married. We filed I-130 and I-485 concurrently.

In a pinch, you can get in via walkin, and DROP OFF stuff into the drop-box - the Security Guards will let you in without any appointment letter.

I assume you have the name of the human that interviewed the two of you - so

address a letter to that human,

ask for your casefile to be 'revisited' this week.

also drop a letter there for the 'AOS Adjudication Supervisor' , asking:

1. The human that adjudicated your wife's case - do they still work there?

2. Have the casefile re-assigned to another Immigration Officer

with both of these drops, include a postcard with a stamp with your address on it, suggesting that each human write something and drop it in the mail.

I hate the Dallas Field Office in Irving Texas, much. My Congress Critter helped much , my stuff at that office. I suggest you restart a new conversation with your Congress Critter next, and do the drop offs as well.
