Hi every one me and my fiance are going through the k1 visa but the problem is that she doesn't work and she is on social security whish is getting a 900 dollars per month and going to university to finish her degree im 26 and she is 25 and we re in love to each other and im so confused about this can be a problem while we re processing this k1 visa so in this case do i need a sponsor or what ?? Please help me about this i will be appreciated and thank you so much.

Yes to co sponsor needs to be USC and they would need to earn 125% of the poverty threshold for a household of two (them and the beneficiary) unless they have additional dependents in which case it would be for a household of that size.

125% guidelines can be found on the USCIS website by searching for the i-1864.

November 1st 2014: I-129f submitted for K1 visa

February 24th 2015: Visa in hand!

February 26th 2015: POE at Las Vegas airport, then onwards to Oregon! 

March 6th 2015: Marriage (with a "real" wedding to follow next year on 7/6/2016)

March 9th 2015: AOS, EAD & AP submitted

September 22nd 2015: Interview

January 14th 2016: Two year Green card received -phew!

ROC

August 8th 2017: 90 day window begins! ROC time!

September 28th 2017: Biometric Appointment in Portland, OR

March 5th 2018: Case received by local office

August 18th 2018: 18 month extension letter mailed

December 2018: Case moved to another office

February 2019: I was emailed that I was approved and my card was in production the same day of my N400 interview 😂

August 8th 2018: Window opens to submit naturalization application

August 13th 2018: N400 Application submitted online 

August 14th 2018: NOA1

September 6th 2018: Biometrics

February 6th 2019: Interview Date! APPROVED!

February 6th 2019: I was asked to return later the same day for my Oath Ceremony! :dance:

The co-sponsor needs to be a USC or LPR domiciled in the USA. The poverty guidelines is i-864 if you search on the USCIS website. Also as stated some countries do not allow for co-sponsors for the K1. The Philippines is one.

Yeah we meet once last summer but the problem is that she is on social security whish is getting a amount of 900 hundred dollars per month and shes going to university to finish her degree and she ispaying rent so she told me that she may be not qualified to sponsoring me when she have to fill the i 134 application thats really my problem now

is that considered as a poverty or what?

so please what we should do in that case?

Your fiance does not meet the income requirements. However, as mentioned you can get a cosponsor. The exact income requirements depends on their household size but it will probably be in the $25k-$30k range per year. As for if Tunisia allows cosponsors, you need to check into that before getting started.

please me and my fiance need to have a sponcor for the k1 visa process cause shes not qualified for it so i wanna know what the sponcor need to fill as a application and what is the other papers need to give it to us to proove it in the embassy in the interview day anyone can help me please i will be appreciating for this and thank you so much :)
