My interview is coming up... need help please

Hello everyone

Ill have my interview on January 29, 2015. I’m wondering how long is the I-864 valid for. My husband submitted the AOS on 1st week of September. Should I ask him to send me new signed I-864 or the one he submitted is already good for the interview. I have the full copies of AOS package he sent to NVC.

Also, Police certificate here in UAE is valid only for 3 months but the packet 4 I received says that I only need to get new clearance if all the 3 below are true :

? Applicants may need to bring an additional police certificate to the interview. If the following three

items are all true, the applicant needs to bring an updated police certificate to the interview:

? He or she is more than 16 years old;

? He or she obtained a police certificate more than one year ago; and

? He or she still lives in the country that issued the police certificate.

My UAE clearance is dated Oct 8, 2014 ( and it mentions that validity is 3 months). Should I get new Police certificate?

There is no expiration date on an I-864; a new one at the interview would only be necessary if the information in the previous one has fundamentally changed between the time it was submitted and the date of the interview.

Ryan H thanks for your reply. There will be no changes on the I-864 (AOS ) information, this means I can use the same file right?

Do I need one with original signature or copy is enough?

I have blank I-864 with original signature. Can I handwrite the same info and use it for my interview?

Since the information on the I-864 will not have changed, you don't need to bring a new form to the interview. The Embassy will have the one that was submitted in the file they receive prior to the interview date.
