How did you meet your fiance?

Got this idea from the lovely cristindc on the November Filers thread and thought this would be something nice and positive to discuss as Christmas draws ever closer :P My question to you all is, how did you guys meet? Cmon folks share your love stories! :D

To get the ball rolling: My second summer working at a summer camp in Michigan. A girl who I had worked with the previous year told me she was bringing her cousin to work at camp this season (Dan). We went kayaking together during staff week, I fell out and couldn't get back in so had to swim back to shore (in a life jacket I wasn't allowed to remove) with him kayaking next to me, dying of laughter. The rest, as they say, is history.... ;)

Your turn! GO!

Our story is very simple... Our families live near each other and he is the brother of one of my dearest friends. One day we exchanged pleasantries in passing, he then followed the Muslim Egyptian tradition and approached my father about me, with my fathers permission we got to know each other, became best of friends, fell in love, and now here we are. :)

Well we aren't fiances anymore, haha, but we met on YouTube.

Oh sorry to hear this :( But I am curious as to how you meet on youtube. through the comments section?

Everyone has such cute stories! I love this personal human interest post! Thanks Pheebs!

Our Story:

I had just had eye surgery and was off work unable to do anything for quite awhile. I was on FB looking at comments on a reggae site and saw his post. I checked out his page and he seemed interesting. We became FB friends. Months passed and we chatted alot, he always checked on me everyday to see how I was and healing from surgery. He was just so sweet but I didn't really take it serious...until the day when my ex-boyfriend called and wanted to get back together. I said yes, went to bed and couldn't stop thinking about my FB friend. The next morning i woke and said I have to go to Jamaica to meet him first. It was such a compelling feeling. My ex was never there for me through my whole surgery ordeal, but he was. Flew to Jamrock...stepped out of the airport...our eyes locked and I knew it right then. This the man I'm spending the rest of my life with.

I think Stressed Out meant that they are now married hence why they are no longer fiances  (I hope I'm not wrong about that lol)

That is also a lovely story thank you so much for sharing! I thought it would be nice to focus on the positive for a little while, I know everyone has their own issues and stress along the road with this journey! Good to focus on the reason why we are all here!
