December 2014 AOS Filers

On January 29, 2015, we received your response to our Request for Evidence for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status.

My one was for initial evidence as I didn't send any supporting documentation with the form itself,but I read that starts the 90 days again. So I Wil not hear anything anytime soon. unless a miracle will happen

I called USCIS and asked about if it will reset the 90 days..the lady on the phone told me No....it will be 90 days after your initial filing date...my case it will be Dec 16.

Maybe a stupid question but.. Do you guys think it's possible that after the status of my case changed to "Ready to schedule for an interview", USCIS can send us request of additional evidence for affidavit of support. Cause we didn't Mail any letters from employer just tax returns and w2s

When I applied for citizenship they sent me an RFE two weeks before my interview stating that I should bring extra documents to the interview (driver's license, etc). So that's the most it can happen. For your AOS, if your tax returns and W2s meet all the criteria you don't really need a letter from your employer, I only included it because my salary changed.

When I applied for citizenship they sent me an RFE two weeks before my interview stating that I should bring extra documents to the interview (driver's license, etc). So that's the most it can happen. For your AOS, if your tax returns and W2s meet all the criteria you don't really need a letter from your employer, I only included it because my salary changed.

Just got a text and email that my wife's EAD and AP were approved.

I hope & pray to recieve mine too next week or so, crossing my fingers! Ur wife had her biometrics 1week ahead of me but we both filed the same date.:-)

Hi guys! Here I go again with a question on advance parole.... I got the notice of action saying it was approved and that the document was enclosed.... Nothing was enclosed! Should I wait I until a receive something else?

Okay, so this question has been asked twice with no real answers....... The I-797 NOA was received in the mail for the Advanced Parole indicating it was approved. It states " The document is enclosed" it goes on to say this document should be taken when traveling...etc. However, there are no documents enclosed besides the actual letter itself.

SO......... the question still remains, is this approval letter the actual AP document that you use to travel with - - OR - - are we waiting for this elusive card that the letter said nothing about?

Please, only experienced answers (no guesses or assumptions), someone that has ALREADY received this and the card,,,, shed some light on this?

You will still receive the EAD/AP combo card! However, you can use the AP document you received for travel if you need to travel before receiving the actual combo card! You will receive a notification from USCIS stating that they have mailed your card to the address on file! Edited February 18, 2015 by trini2014

Yes it did! I would average 10 since yesterday was a holiday!
