I just have to say, I love how supportive and encouraging everyone on the VJ forum is for one another. It's nice to know there are still a few caring, kind, and compassionate people in this world. It truly warms my heart.

Some days I feel like I am not as good of a person as I have always thought of myself to be. I am so happy for all those progressing and getting their CC, as you have sure suffered through this horrid process long enough. As I am also happy for those that have had their expedites approved, but each time I see another person get their expedite approved in less than a weeks time, regardless of which consulate, there is a slight feeling of bitterness that overcomes me. This whole process is bringing out a side of me that I have never seen before and I really wish to never see again. God bless my husband for his patience and kind gestures. I have to be honest, I don't know how he tolerates me in the current state I am in. There are times where I feel so emotionally out of control, if I had the option to get away from myself, I'd run far far away.

Am sorry you are feeling like this, remember we are human and are bound to feel this way. It doesn't make you a bad person. We are all here for one another, and God is closer to those broken at heart. We will not remin like this, one way or the other, by time we all get CC and finally get our visa and be one our. NO CONDITIONS IS PERMITE. LOTS OF HUGS and warm love from me and my son

I don't think I can say thank you enough to all of you for your continued support and encouragement. Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh, may the peace mercy and blessings of Allah be with you all.

This is the greatest lesson a child can learn. It is the greatest lesson anyone can learn. It has been the greatest lesson I have learned: if you persevere, stick w/it, work @ it, you have a real opportunity to achieve something. Sure, there will be storms along the way. And you might not reach your goal right away. But if you do your best and keep a true compass, you'll get there. Edward M. Kennedy,

It truly is. They set us back a week and were an expedited case. So obviously there's a reason were being expedited. And I just can't believe they did this. However I am grateful to God that I am finally finished with NVC. I keep coming back to this thread because I want to see everyone else with October dates get their case complete as well. I am rooting for all of you :)

I can't tell u how I feel right now. I m beyond depressed. The system is working totally against us

You can't help but feel that way, especially since you know for a fact that your case is taking longer than average just because your husband is Egyptian. It's not fair. Some people abuse the system and ruin it for everyone, and unfortunately, Egypt is near the top--if not AT the top--of that list. We know your pain.

Thank you so much for your response. It is very unfortunate for all us Egyptians and spouses of Egyptians.

The senators office placed our initial expedite request on 11/12. Since then we have had to resend the cover letter and supporting documentation 3 additional times because each time the NVC says the email is missing the pdf attachment. Each time it is resent, I request they inform me immediately if the attachment is not there, however, we always just the generic response saying it's been received. A week to two weeks later we then get the email stating they never got the attachment. I feel like this is a never ending cycle and have given up hope of ever getting a response.

I tried contacting the embassy directly to see what could be done, but that proved useless. I had to send them a second request before they sent me a generic email denying my request due to lack of resources. Later I found out it is routine for them to send such email to anyone that contacts them directly regarding expedites.

So here I wait, hoping and praying I can keep it together long enough to make it through the remainder of the process without having to place my grandfather in a nursing facility and that he doesn't have any more complications or develop any new issues. Insha'Allah.

Have you tried calling at exactly 7AM and asking if you can stay on the phone with an operator as you send the materials to ensure they get there? I know sometimes they can be rude so I dont know if it's a possibility.

The emails are received by a different department, and the reps that answer don't have that type of access. What was advised was that I speak to a supervisor as they have access to that type of information, however, there are never any supervisors available. There was a request placed to have a supervisor call me back, that was on Monday and I have yet to receive a call.

But thanks for the suggestion. :)

Oh ok, I had no idea. I'm afraid to call because I don't want to learn more about NVC than I have to :/ I might call next week though...it would have been at least 60 days then.

Good luck :)

Hahaha! I don't have that much self control. I call every other day if not everyday for updates.

Thanks, same to you! :)

My hubby had his interview today! I don't know if this is considered an approval or not, but they said that he will receive his visa after he completes his injections and submits phone records....He said that the interview part went very well...Is this considered an approval?

I am praying hard today brings much more good new for everyone more CC's, maybe a miracle interview date etc you just never know.

No matter your faith please take a moment today to say a prayer for all those struggling in this nightmare of a process and special prayers for

Samreen, EOC, SharksBelow, AmeriDutch, BRosa, Maria&Abdo, Natasha&Noor, Maharosa, mofatsd, sorry if I forgot someone but please also say prayer for the peaceful good people of the Middle East suffering because of the few power hungry SOB's and the worst countries for AP Egypt and Nigeria. Thank you in advance.

Thank you Soloenta for your prayers. You and everyone else in VJ and especially this thread are in my prayers. I am sorry for those facing additional setback on getting your loved ones home. I congratulate everyone who no longer have to deal with NVC. And for others like me who still feel like our CC day will never come, its time to have faith, be strong and just breath, and "wait and hope". You are not alone, and this moment will past.
