Hello everyone, so I was told by an acquaintance that I must file a health examination report to the USCIS office. So I have been residing in the US with my student visa since 2003 (just graduated college in Wisconsin). This past summer my fiancé and I got married in the US while I was holding my student visa. My fiancé was born and raised in Wisconsin. In end of July we filed & paid for all of the following documents:

1. I-485 Application to Adjust Status Form with all the additional evidence

2. I-130 Petition for Alien Relative along with birth certificates, passport photos etc.

3. Two G-325A Biographic Info forms

4. I-864 Affidavit of Support along with other related documents

5. I-765 Application for Employment Authorization

6. I-131 Application for Travel Document

Do I still need to fill out i-693 form?? I'm freaking out because I did my research and thought I did not need one? Now I'm doubtful and afraid.. I have not heard anything about that from the USCIS yet but I did get my biometric screening done already.. Please help me out! Thank you so much and I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Edit: My student visa expired in August 2014, so right now I am no longer a visa holder. But I was holding my visa when I got married and when USCIS received my documents!

You need to do the medical test. People usually send it with the rest of forms together but it's also possible to go the interview day with it.

But the green card won't be granted without the medical. They will ask for it at some point in a RFE or interview appointment.

You need a medical.

And by the way - if you don't send it, you'll be most likely RDEd for it, rather than asked to bring it for interview.

Im in the same boat. I just received a notice saying

"You will be required to submit a valid completed and signed Form I-693 at a later date. If you recieve an interview notice in the mail, you will be required to bring your updated Form I-693 to your interview. In the event that you are not required to attend an interview, you will be issued a Request for Evidence requiring you to submit an updated Form I-693"

How do I go about doing this? Should I fill out the form and get an appointment or do I have to have an appointment given to me?

I dont mean to hijack this thread. Hopefully the info we get will help the both of us.

There is this post about doctors with good prices I think this will be useful:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/231026-civil-surgeons-who-dont-rip-you-off/

When I had to do my medical my husband called to a few places and we got the cheapest one.... Always get something under 200 dollars because even if they say that price you will end up paying more.... ( they start adding things ) I paid more than 300 :(

You have to wait for your interview appointment then you bring it that day :)

If you get interview waiver you will have to send it to the RFE address they may say to you

Thanks for the reply. Can you tell me the whole process? Do I need to supply any past vaccinations or anything like that or do I just see the doctor and they will take care of everything I need?

You should bring you vaccinations book/card from your home country so they can see you have the required vaccines. If you don't have they may put all or take blood test and test it to see if you are inmhune, If you are missing just one or two they will have to put it ( the more you are missing the more expensive it will be ) you can see on the forms the ones that are required , or even ask them on the phone when you call to make an appointment.

They just had to put tetanus and varicella to me.....

They will take TB skin test and you will have to come back in a couple days if it's fine that's all if some reaction they will have to do x-Ray ( more money ) and a blood test for sure.

If you are woman pregnancy test ( if they have to out vaccines )

Uscis website has the list of surgeons they accept, and in that list the ones people have tried and are good or not.

If you have health insurance it doesn't cover it...

Alright. I dont think I have any vaccinations at all. I've never been out of Canada before I came to the U.S. recently. Will I have to prove to them that I never had any before they give them to me?

You didn't have any when you were a baby-kid??? The ones they ask are very basic vaccines.

They will have to put all to you if you never had them.

By the time I paid for the blood tests and vaccinations mine cost around $400-500 all up. It's a small price to pay though to get things sorted quickly I guess.
