when setting up an acct on the Elis website it ask you to choose 3 different options Select acct type * Applicant * ... * Legal Representative or Document Library Management... What option should I choose? Hubby is the one coming into the country.... Should I wait to create an acct on Elis till after his interview?

No Issued means exactly what it says. I guess for Jamaica it means its being sent to you (you don't go pick up right). But Congratulations. :dancing: :joy: :goofy:

We are supposed to pick it up from the DHL location but we are having an issue getting the waybill number. It seems that nothing has been done since it was issued.

Thanks and good luck to you and yours also. May I ask, what is the IV department & how did it help you in any way?

IV Unit = Immigrant Visa Unit. The folks in charge of all immigrant visas. They wouldn't tell me anything about where my husband's visa was until I got the US Citizen Services Unit to bother them, then they told me it had gone to the courier more than 3 weeks before. So I was still worried, but it all worked out ok in the end. They are very hard to communicate with though, you can only contact them by e-mail and sometimes they answer and sometimes they don't.

Again, good luck!

Hi everyone. Just a quick clarifying question... My husband (A Canadian citizen) the beneficiary has a scheduled interview at the embassy in Montreal to get his IR-1 Permanent Resident Visa. Can he travel to the US for a few days before the interview?

This might be a silly question. I think the answer is Yes, it should be fine for him to travel but not completely sure. Thoughts?

hmm could have been because you have cc since September. Did you reschedule your interview to delay it?

My case was linked to my daughter's case to have same day interview. NVC was waiting for her CC. But after they issued her a second checklist (sigh), NVC scheduled an interview for me.
