Oh, that is a good thing! I am glad for you. It is so much easier to count down towards something than up towards something you dont know the number of...

Where in England are you, if you dont mind me asking?

I wasnt going to go but changed my mind - I will go for 10 days in Mid-July while off from work. I´ll do the same - bring forms back with me, if he gets them done by then. Everything is seemingly so far away he doesnt even want to do the affidavit of support before we get NOA2. How long is it valid for anyways, do you know? Or else I´ll look it up.

Honestly, if I can be there (on the visa) by the time it is a year from filing I will be a happy person. Anything before that will be totally unexpected at this rate.

No I don't mind; I'm from London. Born and bred..

In all honesty I have no idea how long it's valid for. I would guess at 6 months but we aren't even looking into that until we receive the NOA2 notice (via email of the site)

It only takes a week to send from US to London so we'll do that whilst waiting for USCIS to send our file to the NVC..

I'd love to be there by the beginning of September so that I can at least enjoy a little bit of the summer lol

crossing fingers for everybody - including Septembers still waiting.

@ Spence04: September would be nice - I love the change from summer to fall with all the colors. Which state are you going to?

Question: is it really necessary to get in touch with NVC? I have tried everyday at 7 on the morning and at 11 at night and I just cant get through!

Nope. You'll get a letter in the mail with your case number and info. However, be prepared to wait a while for it. I can't remember when I got mine, but it wasn't right away. My case was already in Ecuador by the time I got it. You won't be able to track your progress or know when your visa gets there and leaves for the consulate without your case number.

you know, as much as sucks to be waiting this long after an RFE (and really, why does it take this long to process some but not others?), what I really don´t understand is why there are people like spence04, us and those still waiting from September who have heard nothing, no RFE or anything and still wait 8+ or even 9+ months.

Are they going to realize at 10+ montsh they needed something from us? Really? It is just so strange.

All of us would happily give them what they need like right now, if that´s what the hold up is. Just, like, tell us?
