Still? Ugh. Mine still says in transit. Though my embassy was sent one file the day it switched to in transit, and it arrived yesterday. So I am hoping it was mine, and that it will get scanned in tomorrow. This process feels so slow, even though it's not.

Hey guys, I called NVC today and they told me that our case was recieved yesterday but it's not in system yet, what do you think guys, how long do I have to wait to get my case number?

I got my case number and my invoice number. What website do I go to in to track it? Can I fill out ds160 now or do i need to. Wait?

And you can go fill out your DS-160 now yes :)

It is saying case not found when I check the status on the CEAC site. Is this normal or does it take a few days? Also will I receive an email from NVC? Or is the embassy going to email me? I am a little confused lol. How long after completing the Ds160 can I schedule my interview?

It is on the http://ceac.state.govwebsite. You will go to check visa status then for visa application type you will use the immigrant visa then enter your case number below.

Some of your questions are embassy specific, I'd suggest you check in with your specific forum. For instance, in London's case they schedule the interview for you, others are different I assume. CEAC will update once the case is at the embassy (at least it should). NVC does not email you, they typically send a letter, however it has been known to never show up. The letter isn't really needed, so long as you have your case number. Again, for London, once the case arrives at the embassy, another letter is sent out giving you the go ahead to do your medical, fill out the DS160 and any consulate specific forms. Once everything is finally at the embassy, the final interview letter arrives. Again, this could be different for your embassy, so that's something you'll need to check on.
