No not yet, but I doubt it is that far off.

When I was a kid, I remember lakes freezing over and ice skating on them and people bringing cars out. By the 2000s, they stopped freezing thick enough to walk on in NY. It was weird.

I remember as a kid, you could always snowmobile down in the cities. That isn't the case any longer, some years you can and others you can't. Weather patterns are changing, and no one really knows what's going to become to new norm here.

Lord but they hire flipping idiots here all the time. We got a new guy in our shipping department, he breaks his printer a week after starting. Luckily I have an unused printer available, and I configure it up and install it for him. I tell him he needs to keep track of his printer cartridge level, make sure he doesn't run out and order them through purchasing. Today I get an email from him, I'm out of toner will you bring me a new cartridge? #######, like I'm his slave to deliver it for one thing. For another I told him he needs to keep track and get them on order himself. I even showed him the friggen application to monitor the toner levels. SMH

As T-Bone would say: I said it first!

Your PB pictures clearly showing you're bored :P

Hunting is boring at times. But I wanted to give you guys the grand tour of the property. I haven't shown you guys the swamp, the stream, and the section that I've nicknamed "headless horseman tunnel"

You are the only IT / System Admin guy in your office?

We're a relatively small company. 30 or so computers and 3 servers. Its a side line here for me, as I'm actually a control systems engineer. But I was given the official roles as I know all about networking and systems, as computers were my hobby since before personal computers existed. < Can you say computer nerd?

I'm not here to run around and replace toner cartridges. If you're that inept, you shouldn't be using a computer. I've even had a idiot or two think I should come and replace the paper in their printer when it runs out. What irritates me is he sends me an email asking me to do this after I specifically told him he needs to watch his own supplies and order them through purchasing just last week.

You should bill them for extra work...

But it ain't extra work. As long as I tell them their moma doesn't work here and they have to take care of themselves. I don't mind teaching people things, if they're willing to learn. Do companies really have people going around swapping out idiots toner cartridges in their desk printers? Or adding paper to it for them? I just don't get where people get this idea companies keep some one on staff just to wipe lazy people's butts.

Ok, so I've been getting notices that we are owed 820 or so in obamacare subsidies that were supposed to be dispensed while we were paying full price for health insurance. Will we get that back with the federal tax refund? Why the hell don't they have clear websites about these types of things?
