From what I can tell, we're now dealing with the "I have had such a close-knit group of friends for forever and now I don't and now you're doing something all the time and even though I have American friends I am still not as happy as I would have been" etc etc situation.

Last winter we spent Many months in the Philippines. Geez, if we had an extra $Many laying around I'd do that again. The core problem is the rule of Many. Every dollar to the mistress is Many to the wife and kids.

It does. But my old group of friends in the UK.. well.. they're just getting on with their lives. One of them is actually to do the same thing as me, except with a lass from Chicago. I have a good group of friends here, and I'm happy with that. The one thing that is a problem is this family stuff, and of course I can't do a damned thing because I'm on a completely different continent.

Congressman's office got back to me yesterday. MSC is done with my case and ready to send it to Providence, however they won't do that until Providence assigns me an interview date. So waiting on Providence to get off their arses and assign an interview date. They said to call back in a couple of weeks if I've still gotten nowhere. At least it feels like it's moving along.

I don't know, my husband likes it here. Our only problem is me nagging him to finish projects he has started. We have different ideas about what acceptable progress is.

Yeah, it is. I've always adapted well to new situations, but that's just me.
