I work nights. I went to work at 12 am, left at 3 am, left Wichita at 7 am, arrived in Chicago 20 minutes early. My flight to Beijing was delayed 7 hrs, never slept a wink on the 12.5 hr flight. I spent the night in the Beijing airport and nobody spoke English. Next day caught my flight to Shenzhen. We met at the airport had a one hour traffic jam to the hotel. I hadn't slept in over 2 days almost three. I showered and we held each other and slept for 6 hrs. Was kinda interesting waking up with somebody you had just met 2 hrs before for the first time othere then emails.

It was the begininng of something great.

anyone else have a story to add? I'm feeling all sentimental today :)

Hmmm, this is a tough one. We met 11 years ago when I was 15. That summer we were on a camping trip in Nürnberg with a bunch of young people and went into the city and ate at the Pizza Hut there (They always wanted to bring me to the "American" restaurants while I was visiting :P ) But honestly, his cousin showed me a lot more attention that night than he did. Although I was cold and he did give me his jacket. :)

The next summer I saw him the first night I was in Germany. He went to the same church as my grandparents. The next day he and his best friend showed up at my grandparent's house and we ate some cake my grandmother made and then went out back and played featherball. And from that day on we spent just about every day of the summer together. So, I guess maybe playing featherball was our first date :P We lost touch some months after that summer for 4 years. I never would have imagined 10 years later we'd be getting married. Funny how life works :D

Ahhh, memories :D

We met in a bar in Clerkenwell Green in London in August 2005 -- I was recently separated and kinda but not really looking for someone new, and I stopped off to have a beer before going home. He was having a lemonade on HIS way home and we started talking...and talking... and when he said "call me tomorrow" that's exactly what I did. I figured I had nothing to lose -- he was smart and witty, with a similar taste in awful B-movies and Thai food. Plus my weird flatmate was away for the weekend... :innocent: He came over and we watched Hannah and Her Sisters and Best in Show -- neither big makeout movies -- and we ended up snogging so much I thought I was going to have a coronary!

Ooh, just went all gooey thinking about that! :luv:

I almost don't remember us having a date date, when he was here we were literally together 24-7 so maybe that can count as one huge date :P

After I moved and thing settled in we finally managed to go out to dinner, all dressed up and everything- I would say that was our first actual date, although we were already married by then B)

Naturalized! Yeah!

We had been 'out' together many times as friends but our first real date as a couple was to see Henry V and followed by dinner. On the way he had to brake suddenely and I grabbed at the dash causing 2 of my false nails to ping off and fly right past his face :o

On my birthday Claudeth and her aunt came down to Iligan from CDO and spent the day with my friends and myself. That was sure nice and I was very sad that they had to go home so we went to CDO a few days later and haven't looked back since :D

I bought my wife flowers on our first date. A bee flew out and stung her. She still reminds me about that. :)

Ours was a weekend in Bar Harbour ME. WE had met months before online, and this was our First real meeting. It was a beautiful weekend full of hiking, biking, beach combing, lobster and icecream. Who wouldn't fall in love after a weekend like that?

I rarely ever post...but I had to for this one

After chatting as "friends" for 5 months we decided we had so much in common and would be good to meet to see if there was anything to the "online" attraction. I flew 12+hours and got to OKC around supper time. I can't tell you how intimidating it was to meet the guy I had talked to and see on cam for the last few months and 3D is definately different than 2D. We went to supper at a nice italian restaraunt near the airport, it was a bit awkwardat first to say the least, but, there must be something to "on-line love" cause the waitress asked us when we were getting married!?! No joke...she turned a bit red when we said we had met 2 hours ago! It was one those moments we will always remember.

I think looking back....we both knew what the waitress saw...and the pitstop we took on the way back to his place....sealed the deal...;):P

Our first date was at cafe De La Rosa, Jakarta. We took a table outdoor, It was so beautiful with candle lit Dan's face , a small waterfall on the background, and it was after raining too. We went home drunk.
