Hmmmm. Might have to check into that. I'm hoping that we can get away for a mini-honeymoon of just 3 or 4 days. Any more than that would be pretty impossible what with the short people. Tell your hubby thanks!

Well, after 11 months of online chat, I ventured to California on May 1, 2002. We stayed in Hollywood that night at some little motel, and had Mexican food, just down the road a bit. But that was more of a 16 hours on a plane, relax and recover meal and sleep. The next day,..knowing I love the ocean so much, He drove us to Seal Beach. There was a Ice cream shop on the corner, I believe its Cold stone creamery. We got icecream, held hands ,walked along the pier, shared our treats, and then had an icecream fight of sorts. I already knew I loved this man, but that day, sealed it for me. I cant remember a lot of it now, but everytime, I think of that day, I smile. We always make a point to go back to Seal Beach, and get the same icecream, everytime we make a trip home. Its our special little place, always will be.

Nice thread, Makes me feel good today, our 3rd wedding anniversary. Thank you for making me smile.

May 21, 2006 - the day after we met. The day we met we just hung out with my friend who came with me to Nepal so I don't count that as a 'date' - the day after was when we first went out alone together. I like Nepali music so I asked K to take me to a 'dohori'(live folk music) club - it was around the corner from the place I was staying. We danced a little and I requested the only song I know the words to - the singers (and K) were impressed that I could sing along. :) It was hard to talk so we left after a little while and went back to my room, talked and hung out for a while(dont get too excited ;)) and made plans to meet the next day.

Me and ed's first real date we went and saw The Passions Of Christ. At this time i didnt read romanian so well, so it was spoken in another language and subtitles in romanian. He translated the movie to me, and cried together. I found it romantic :P

deathbydalbhat, I thought Nepal was a traditional, moral kingdom! :P First date the day after you met? Dancing?! :o

I don't belong in here - I've tried to wrack my brain but can't think of a "first date" we had - though I've been with my guy for years & years! We were just both too traditional and sensitive to the scandal we’d create in the village if we went out together - his brother would have a hard time negotiating a wife if he was seen with a foreigner!

I guess here in USA when he comes, we’ll finally have our first going-out date…

First date March 2 2002 Warrant, LA Guns, Firehouse.

He knew the band, got free tix.

Our friend that introduced us flew from Tampa to Cleveland, then they drove together (10 hours thru a blizzard) to Sault Ste. Marie where we met officially for the first time, in the lobby of a Holiday Inn. w0o0oho0

The concert was awesome, hair metal rules.

Our first dance at our wedding was Firehouse Love of a Lifetime followed by Warrant Heaven. :D

First wedding anniversary this Sunday.....hmmm we will hafta do something 'hair metal' worthy

Hmm, that's a kind of difficult question to respond to since our first "date" was two weeks long (his first visit to Toronto to meet me)!

Included in our first "date" would be dinner with my family, visiting the Toronto Zoo, going up the CN Tower, dropping by my old high school, strolling through Casa Loma, running around the Niagara Falls region, walking from the waterfront to the Royal Ontario Museum and then spending a couple of hours there, ...

Our first kiss was at the Toronto Zoo though, so it holds a special place in our hearts ;)

we had a faux date online for our first valentine's day. we had just become a couple a week or so before. We dressed up and had dinner together infront of our webcams.

We did the exact same thing on Valentine's Day, 2004 :) Jerry actually called my favourite chinese restuarant and ordered (and paid!) for my meal. It was pretty cute. The only problem was....he got mixed up and only ordered chicken fried rice and not the lemon chicken dish that I loved! We always have a good laugh over that one, and our Valentine's Day tradition is to go eat chinese food :)

The first "real" date was in April of the same year, we had a lovely meal on the way home from the airport -- he loves the restaurant so much, we have to go there every time we're home in Canada. ;)

Our first date: he met me in Atlanta. He decided that he wanted to go see Underground Atlanta, so we walked through there, window shopping. Had our fortunes read by the world's worst fake psychic EVER. She was so not convincing. I felt bad for her though. Every time she made a "prediction" to my fiance, he would deny it .... No, I don't have a twin brother, No, I never lived in Africa. She kept going on and on, trying to get him to agree to something. I finally whispered to him just to smile and fake it, "Wow, that is amazing, how do you KNOW that?" just so we could get the hell out of there! BTW, she had asked for 10 dollar upfront "because sometimes the people leave before they pay". Gee, really? imagine that! It was funny though and a good story for us to tell.

After that, we had Krystal's for dinner. (What can I say, we were tired and it was easy). I actually love Krystal's, but the downside of that is that he used to try to get me to eat there ALL the time because it was OUR SPECIAL PLACE :)

Our first date was after two years online. We were to be married June 18th, and so she met me at the airport with her brother and uncle. Haha we all went to the catholic center in Manila to stay the night, and we were able to get in a few nice secret kisses...then uncle and brother wanted to eat so we went out. We talked about witches that were supposed to be in the Visayas...things I had read about online before I went. We talked about odd experiences that had happened in the Philippines...ghosts, healers (I met one who used tuba leaves for healing and watched her heal a young boy), and other odd things. We talked for hours and hours and became quite close. All the while I wished I could kiss my soon-to-be-wife again, but did not happen til brother and uncle left us later the next day...memorable, and wonderful first date.

Official first date: February 8th, 2005. We went to a fantastic steak place, as this was his second trip to the US and he hadn't done very much on the first except band stuff (which didn't really involve eating at nice places!).
