Thanks for thinking of veterans today. To my fellow veterans, the landscape of America and it's treatment of veterans has evolved into something that is very different today than it was 30 years and more ago. I wish I could say it is an improvement. When I returned from Vietnam in the early 70s, the people of America were done with the war, and so many openly disrespected vets. Today, it doesn't seem to have changed much. There are some people who fully understand how difficult it is for a vet to readjust to civilian life after facing combat on a foreign land.

Thank you for all who have served and continue to do so.

Thank you to all who have served, and to Dave, Marvin, Charles, ExExPat, NB and those here at VJ. You have given a lot to our country and it should never be overlooked or forgotten.

Thanks, Spooks. Honestly, it's just a job most days. What truly makes it worth it is the support of great folks like yourself. Thank you and those like you.

You guys and gals deserve support from everyone in the country. Some may disagree with the governments decIsions on getting involved in various conflicts, but the men and women of our military deserve our unwavering, united support. I think some people get caught up in the politics of it all and forget about those who are there in the midst of it. I thank you.

I'm just thankful that soldiers today don't have to put up with what our Vietnam brethren had to many years ago. Those poor guys came home to zero support from the citizenry

And that was a damn shame. Protest the war, not those fighting it. Why didn't people separate it?
