How many of you guys have had you AoS interviews? Or have at least got interview dates? Can you please let us all know? My status on AoS has been stuck on "Fingerprint fee received" for months now!!

No updates for me since 11/26 . Still in "Fingerprint Fee Was Received" too.

I live in Chicago so I guess this is my local USCIS office.

Hello, guys. Well, today I was woken up by a text message that said that my I-485 had been updated: half awake, I ran to my computer, signed in and it said that my I-485 case was approved and the card was ordered!!!

So I guess the officer didn't need that much time to review the case. We were a bit disappointed yesterday after the interview. We didn't know if we had presented enough evidence, if the fact that we are a same-sex couple would hurt us, if they saw anything they didn't like in my long history of US visits, etc. But I guess the officer just needed some more time (a few hours, really). So don't panic if your are not approved on the spot!!!

I'm stunned at how fast some of you have gotten your work permits and travel permissions! My wife and I filed my paperwork and received our NOA1 in November (the 20th), but didn't receive a call for biometrics until the end of January (which we successfully did the first week of February) and are now just stuck waiting for any kind of response.

Hey, the same here. We had the biometrics appointment on Dec 11 ( I think) but no updates since then. I filed the info request and they just send me a letter saying that they are working on the cases as they were received ( yeah, right!) and it has nothing to do with our particular case.

Do you by any chance know if we can file an expedited request after 90 days? I have a job offer and don't know how long it will be waiting for me heh

You're one week ahead of me though. What is your filing office?

My local office is Boston. But it says my file is being processed at the National Benefits Centre. I think the interview will still be in Boston though. Whenever that happens, that is.....

I don't see why you couldn't apply now. Send AP application with NOA 1 from your I-485, include a copy of the biographical page of his passport and his most recent I-94, all that with a request to expedite. Some say you can even do it in person by infopass appointment but I'm not sure if that's the case.

My advice is start another thread in the general AOS forum, more people will reply and possibly have better advice.

The only part I'm not sure about it if you can apply and send expedite request at the same time. Hopefully someone with better knowledge will chip in.

Also, dump the lawyer!

This is from USCIS website

Criteria for Expedited Processing of an Application

USCIS will expedite an application, including an application for a travel document, Form I-131, in certain situations, which may include:

  • Severe financial loss to company or person;
  • Emergency situations;
  • Humanitarian reasons;
  • Nonprofit organization whose request is in furtherance of the cultural and social interests of the United States;
  • Department of Defense or National Interest Situation (Note: The request must come from an official U.S. Government entity and state that delay will be detrimental to the Government.);
  • USCIS error; or
  • Compelling interest of USCIS.

You may submit an expedite request by contacting the National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at 1-800-375-5283, or by submitting a written request and supporting documentation with your application.

Good luck and let us know what happens!
