I'm not sure what the biometrics appointment is... Is that different than the medical? Because the medical you definitely have to have before the interview.

Sorry if that doesn't help!

guys im so exciteddddd and cant wait these 15 days!!!

hey just a quick question btw, i'm gona take our photos album to the interview with all the other documents and stuff.

is it gonna be a problem that the photo album is thick and i was thinking it might nt be possible to pass it to the CO through the window becuase the space is thin. is this gonna be a problem? i m freaking out if i wont be able to pass the photos album to the CO...

then i thought if i wont be able to pass it through the window, then the CO might ask me to show the photos, but i want the CO to see the photos CLOSEEE!!

any ideas??

How about scanning them in and then putting them on to a sheet on Microsoft Word? I've put 6 to a page... in fact 6 is all I have because out of all the pics I took when I was in America last, only that many had me and him in it >.<

Make sure you date-stamp them too

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

I'm sure everyone has a different experience but for what it's worth, we didn't submit any proof of relationship at the USCIS stage aside from our marriage certificate and my wife wasn't asked for any at her interview in London. She brought some photos and tickets and paperwork but they didn't ask her for any of that. We have been together almost 10 years but married for less than 2, so she will be getting a CR-1.

I wonder if we would have had a similar experience if we didn't send any proof in. I didn't want to risk it xD

I saw someone on the UK forum get 221g'd for lacking proof of their marriage which struck me as odd, but thinking back, their English seemed a little broken so it might just be they were interviewing in London because they were a resident rather than a citizen. Aside from that, London interviews seem like a waste-of-time formality mandated by the US.

I believe for India you need to have the biometrics done prior to the interview. Please go to the website below and select your respective embassy

http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/interview/prepare.html

On the PDF, you'll get the instructions of how you need to complete it.

Sorry if that doesn't help!

Biometrics is the finger printing process, which for some countries is done prior to the interview. India is one of those, so they need the medical and the biometrics done prior to the interview.

Aside from that, London interviews seem like a waste-of-time formality mandated by the US.

Our attorney insisted USCIS did not need to see any evidence aside from our marriage certificate. With the benefit of hindsight, I'm not sure that was good advice: This is the same attorney who presumably failed to include our 2013 tax return documents with the AOS package and who is not aware that NVC sends "false" checklists. I was relieved we didn't get an RFE at USCIS.

I don't know what evidence USCIS/NVC/USEM may have aside from what we submit. In our case, three things come to mind that may have turned up during their various background checks:

1- We met while I was temporarily living in Europe.

2- We've travelled to and from the US together a bunch of times since then.

3- She's never lived or applied to move to the US before.

Maybe our case looked straightforward to them, or perhaps they don't care because we'll need to submit this evidence in 2 years time for ROC?

I would bring some additional evidence to be on the safe side but I suspect you won't need it. Looking at the USEM London reviews, some people mention the CO asking about photos etc that were submitted at the USCIS stage. My wife's experience was that the CO did not want to look at anything other than what they had received from NVC.

Good luck!

I'm the USC petitioner. My wife is British (now a USC!!!), generally awesome, and amazingly patient.

Biometrics is the finger printing process, which for some countries is done prior to the interview. India is one of those, so they need the medical and the biometrics done prior to the interview.

I was also wondering what the biometrics appointment was. :content:

I wasn't too concerned about it since I only saw biometrics postings by Indian folks. :star: I assumed it didn't apply to Canadians.

Hello,

I have a question. I have submitted following to NVC in AOS,

1) Five year tax history

2) 2013 tax return

3) Form 1040A of year 2013

4) W2 form of year 2013

5) Employment letter and 3 pay check.

Somebody from my consulate got 221g for w2 forms as they have not submitted to NVC. Do i need to take year 2012's w2 form and year 2012,2011 tax return to interview? Or these are enough documents for AOS ?

Thank you.

Read what you said. They got a 221g because they didn't submit to NVC.

You are only required to submit most current year tax transcripts or tax forms to NVC. You did way too much but that's fine.

Its 2013, 2012, 2111 to show. You only have to show 2013 tax transcripts or tax forms. Don;t be concerned with others 221g.

If you didn't submt 2013 tax forms or tax transcript than bring to interview.
