Has anyone encountered this?

We got our NOA1 through email last October 22, and when I checked our status at the USCIS site it says this:

  • Your case can not be found at this time in My Case Status. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1.800.375.5283.

So I waited until we got the Hard Copy of the NOA1, and we received it today. I just checked it again online and still says case status not found.

Anyone having the same experience? :clock:

Is this a bad sign that it might take a while for us to get an approval?

Not at all a bad sign. Wait for a few weeks, u can keep checking meanwhile. They take some time to update it on their website. Ive been waiting for the approval and therefore can tell you Patience is truly a virtue?

A couple of years ago this was pretty normal. Don't put all your faith into the case status. There have been members here where the case status still says initial review and their spouse is now a USC.
