Has anyone that is still waiting tried calling and seeing if there is some kind of delay at the filing center? I don't understand why people like poster above me sent theirs off and get instant results while a lot of us are still waiting multiple weeks later.

My wife called the national number....they claim that this is normal and that there's no delay. That they have 30 days for them to respond before they can send the Chicago lockbox a request for them to look for the package....The check has not been cashed....right now we're just waiting till 11/20 which marks the 30 day for us

I truly think it's just the different adjudicators..or how you put your package together, did you have everything completed, cover letters, G-1145 to get the update, I put a G-1145 on each package, I made sure I did a complete cover letter, and I don't mess with USPS, I sent my FedEx, who knows, but we've all been through this before with K-1, we already know how they are, it just depends on who you get...

Yes i understand each case is different for sure. I sent fedex, i put a g-1145, cover letter, table of contents, labeled everything etc.

My file was pretty complete and we received no RFE on our K1 packet so i am pretty thorough about everything that has to do with visa/immigration stuff.

Considering so many people are waiting like me, I tend to think (at least hope) that its just their end that is lagging.

Keeping fingers crossed for everyone**

I agree with you. I feel some cases are targeted... I sent mine FedEx and sent G-1145 for each update. I immediately received RFE for missing W2s even though everything else was included. (copy of returns and letter from employer). This means delay on EAD/AP... Soooo frustrating! Already took us six months to get i-130 approved..

My K-1 took almost 8 months..and I had to contact my senator, thank God for her or who knows where we would be right now...it's very frustrating!!

Hello everyone. October filer here.

We had our biometrics appointment yesterday. Wife was in the emergency room the night before so I was already afraid that we were going to miss our morning's appointment. So somewhere in the process of getting there we forgot our marriage license!! We were both really tired from going to the ER but of course we didn't want to miss our appointment so that didn't help.

Anyways, when we got there, they sent us back to get our marriage license because in her application we applied with my last name but her license has her maiden name. So we had to go back and show that. It was very fast once we got back with the marriage license.
