I'm just excited consistently seeing September dates, even if it is after my date :) It's more so when its bouncing all over the place, Oct, Nov, even a Dec one earlier this month, that makes me crazy lol.

A December file? From TSC?

That just makes me want to flip a table. They need an emoticon for that.

[ Spring 2005 ] Met online, in-game (WoW)

[ February 2012 ] Finally admitted our true feelings after years of staying hush hush!

[ March 22, 2012 ] Made things official!

[ April 13, 2012 ] Met for the first time in real life and fell in love!

[ July 8, 2014 ] Got engaged!

[ September 10, 2014 ] Filled out paper work

[ September 19, 2014 ] Receipt Date

[ September 23, 2014 ] NOA1

And after 246 hellish days (8+ months) of being trapped in TSC purgatory....

[ May 27, 2015 ] NOA2 :)

[ September 16, 2015 ] Interview at the US Consulate in Montreal!

Ok I broke down and called today, eventually asking for a tier 2 rep. I am still waiting for them to return the call. They were at a 150 minute wait, so I decided to do the call back thing. From what the first person told me however, I'm not expecting to make the cut tonight. Don't want to sound negative, I hope others indeed get their NOA2s tonight, I'm just not expecting to be amongst them.

Oh well, we'll see what the tier 2 rep has to say. Not expecting much there either.

I'm really hoping to see you get your NOA2! I don't take seriously what much of those answering the phone say - after all, they will tell you they are processing August 23rd.

Best of luck, as we all know that's what it is, since there is no rhyme or reason to who is getting NOA2's.

Why, did the tier 1 still insist they are working on August? :ranting:

I'll keep up the hope for you av8or1, maybe your file just might happen to be in the right place at the right time.

Besides... I feel lucky.. there's a double rainbow outside.

Thank you for the replies y'all, I appreciate it. It would be nice to be wrong in this case wbeem, but I don't think so. kaisara, yup, there's relatively little reason for the random approvals, especially a few months in advance of their currently-processing date, but you are correct, it is what it is.

Yuna, yeah, they gave me the usual "we're currently processing as of August 23rd, 2014" business, etc. I listened quietly through that, opting not to even open that can 'o worms. After she was finished with the custom fare speech, I simply asked her for specific information regarding my particular case. She jabbed away on the keyboard for a few seconds, then came back with another seemingly-canned answer (and one that we've all heard several times over) of "it's with an adjudicator." I asked if they had it for a long time or if they were currently processing it. She said no and no. I then asked if it had even been assigned to an adjudicator. She said that she thought so. Finally I asked if she thought I might receive an approval/decision tonight or sometime soon. She replied that she couldn't say for certain (duh) but that likely not today. At that point I gave up, realizing that she had exhausted her capabilities. I understood that, they're there only to give information to a certain level; I suspect that such information satisfies a good number of callers. However given the 150 minute wait time, perhaps not!

So anyway. Who knows. I'm just preparing myself for another 3 days before I can even start to allow myself to feel some glimmer of hope (Monday).

When William called USCIC and was told our petition was with an adjudicator, we were ecstatic. A wave of relief washed over us. They told us to give 45 days for our petition to be processed, and yep, that's about how long it took them to get around to our file. Hopefully your case is assigned to an adjudicator who is actually present in the office more than one day a week.

That is ridiculous! What a joke...150 min phone wait! Wow. I understand that Government is slow. We all know that, but when it comes to even a phone call wait...now that is bad.

I don't mean to come off as ignorant or rude of any sort, but do you think perhaps, that you're petition is being heavily scrutinized due to the fact that your fiance is from Russia? Obviously one may come to believe with the political tension and such. I know they say that government doesn't "generalize," but we all know that stereotypes and generalizations rule the world. So who knows... that's only a thought.

There's no way to tell, but it's unlikely. This thread is filled with other filers with similar NOA1 dates who are in the same situation. TSC has slowed down its average processing times by nearly 3 months since we filed at the end of July last year. 200+ day waits are normal now.

That's true. Of course there will always be variances, but one could only believe that it could possibly be a factor. But again, it's apparent the wait is there to others in the other countries too.
