Guys! I`ve got this message on USCIS web site that Your Alien Register Number was changed. Does this mean something? I understand that USCIS gave me an A-number, but does this fact impact on something else?

It means that your case has been issued an Alien number, which you will find out eventually what that is when you get your NOA2. It's a standard thing and does not have any bearing on the length of time you will be waiting for approval.

You should get the hard copy within a week of your text/email. Don't forget to update your timeline!!

Thanks!! Will be looking forward to that. It has been three weeks of waiting for NOA1. Whew! :)

Hi everyone! I tried to check our receipt number right away after we got the noa1 thru text but it says receipt number cannot be found. Does it take time before I can check my status online? Thanks in advance!:)

I'm not surprised, though! All CSC-ers should be expecting to get their NOA2's around now, providing that they did all their paperwork right! It only seems to take a few weeks there. Us TSC-ers have no idea when our time will be coming.... :pop: ! BUT VJ gives an estimated date of end of Nov to end of Dec! So we'll all have ours soon enough! :rolleyes:

Well, I received an RFE on Oct. 30th. After worrying about it on the weekend, the letter came in the mail on Nov. 3rd. Apparently I'd forgotten to tick the box asking if you have a Criminal Background! I mean, I saw it when filling out the form, but I misinterpreted and thought it was asking about military personnel. Anyway sent it out the same day and hopefully we're back on track.

Congratulations to all those with fast NOA2 and hope and pray the rest of us get ours soon as well.

Oh no! At least it sounds like a simple matter to fix. Check one little box, you should get your NOA2 in no time.
