GUYS GUYS!! I need all the help I can get .. my interview is this Sunday (19th)

During NVC processing .. My I-864 form has been returned to me with checklists 3 times .. yes 3 times .. last time the NVC said that my case has passed the minimal requirements to schedule an interview but my I-864 form still needs to be corrected and presented to the embassy during the interview

My wife (the sponsor) did not file for taxes .. simple she is unemployed ..

First time I delivered them her I-864 form with blanks regarding employment and filing taxes .. they sent a check list .. I called they told me to put N/A

Second time i sent it I put N/A .. they still sent check list .. I called they said put Zeros

third time i wrote "0" .. they sent a checklist .. I called and they said that write down that she didn't file (although I did attach a paper that says so clearly and signed in the end by my wife)

Now I have to present the I-864 to the embassy during Interview

Point worth mentioning: I have a co-sponsor already .. I myself has enough assets to sponsor the case (not sure to keep that or just make the co-sponsor forms the only ones to make it simple and less questions)

I am thinking the NVC is just being NVC .. I am thinking maybe I can just take the last I-864 form (My wife's) .. and that's it (the one with "Didn't file taxes written")

Also I am thinking to take another empty signed I-864 and fill it there based on what they want me to do

I am not sure what to do?

Should I take an empty one with me?

All help appreciated

Congratulations. That is wonderful news. I have been following your progress. Let's hope for a quick interview.

Thank you msc13 for the good wishes. I really hope we get an interview for November. I talked to John at NVC and he said that the cut off of scheduling interviews for next month is 18 of this month but as of today its still open. Whatever that means. I also was able to look at the Ankara website where my husband will go for his interview and they show all the scheduled appts for immigrant visas and are all scheduled up until 11/22. *crossing my fingers* Hope they can squeeze him in somewhere next month?! :clock:

How are things going for you? I am praying for you and your loved one that you will get case complete this week!! :)

What should I do to solve this?

Got a checklist from NVC saying I sent the wrong marriage certificate and divorce document. I know I didn't but I confirmed with my lawyer and contacted the consulate directly and they both said I have the right documents.

I had a supervisor reviewed my case and was told these are the wrong documents. Now I don't know what to do because I know for fact I submitted everything right the first time.

Any idea how to handle this?

Please help to answer this question about I-864 and I-864A:

I am filling taxes jointly with my wife and I am filling I-864 and my wife I-864A - through a research I discovered that for the total income we list our total income in both forms I-864 and I-864A. I get W2s and my wife is self-employed. We are submitting IRS Transcripts and I really was hoping to avoid sending W2s, because it is not required if we use IRS Transcript. However, from the transcript it is not clear what part was earned by my wife and by me - has anyone been in this situation? I assume that sending W2 forms will help, but I just hate to dig out all the old forms... Any input appreciated.

This happened to us. My divorce decree was from Nebraska, which does not put stamps on original documents, so NVC didn't accept it. I have sent them a certified copy that has a stamp, so now I am waiting for them to review it again in 60 days. I have requested multiple supervisor reviews (3 or 4), but the result is always the same. So my advice is just submit a certified copy and make sure it has a stamp or whatever else they don't like.

Best of luck!

My timeline for NVC processing:

May 4, 2014 Submitted DS261

May 7, 2014 Paid AOS fee

May 12, 2014 Received an email confirming that my DS261 (agent registration) form has been processed

May 15, 2014 Paid IV fee

Last scan date: July 22, 2014 NVC received my IV and AOS packages (mailed together), date confirmed in the email on Aug 5, which also told me that it will take at least 60 days to process

July 25, 2014: Submitted DS260

August 6, 2014 Requested an expedite

August 8, 2014 Got an email from NVCExpedite asking for two phone numbers

August 8, 2014 Responded with two phone numbers

August 15, 2014 Received an email from NVCExpedite which states: "The US Embassy or Consulate is willing to expedite this case once we have all the fees, forms, and documents. We received documents for your case. Please allow 60 days for us to review your documents."

August 15, 2014 Called NVC, the rep told my husband that while the Embassy has agreed to expedite my case, NVC will still take at least 60 days. The reason that NVC cannot do it any faster is because they cannot sort through all the mail to locate my case.

September 16, 2014 Got a checklist for a divorce decree, the original of which I submitted. They said it needs to have a stamp, even though it was issued by a US judge, whose office confirmed that their original decrees do not have stamps. [/background]

September 29, 2014 Mailed a copy of the decree with a certification and stamp attached to it. The judge's office in Lancaster county, Nebraska, said that this is how they certify their documents. They still do not put stamps on originals or copies themselves.

October 2, 2014 Checklist scan date

October 17, 2014 AOS fee changed from "paid" to N/A

October 20, 2014 Case complete confirmed by calling NVC.

Does anyone know if they delay reveiwing the AOS until they have received the IV package?

My situation is as follows:

- Sent AOS package scan date Aug 7.

- Waited for fee to be unlocked and paid until sending IV package.

- IV package scan date 9/24.

- 60 day letter received shortly thereafter.

I'm wondering if they should have reviewed the AOS package already and now will review the IV after the 60 days. I'm pretty scared about a checklist on my AOS, am I in the clear yet or no? Thanks in advance for any advice/similar experiences!I c

I checked with NVC and the operator was very specifc in his answer : He Told all packages and docs will reviewed together as 1 single packet to save time and the 60 days start from the date you sent the IV docs...

Hello Vjs,

Our NOA2 is 9/30, I called NVC a few times already, every time I call them I get different answers. One rep said it takes 25 days, the other rep said 4-6 weeks.

I noticed most of members signature and seems like NVC received their approvals from USCIS within 15 days. It's been over 15 days since my approval, they still haven't received it....any help or guidance as to what should I do, would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hello, welcome to the thread!

I was approved on 8/18, NVC received my case on 9/17, case # assigned same day 9/17 (this is rare). I was told that it takes NVC up to 5 weeks (25 business days) for them to receive your case from USCIS from NOA2 date, so hang in there. Best of luck with this process! It can be quite frustrating lol
