Seriously.

It never fails to amaze me how so many of you answer such obvious trolls. Do you just reply to the original question without ever reading the other replies or looking at a posters previous posting history?

I am a long time lurker in this forum and find it overall very helpful and one of the nicer forums on the Internet to frequent.

But there is lately a trend developing of more and more troll postings. If you answer these posts you are feeding them. That encourages them to post more, which clutters up the board with cr@p. I have pointed out a few of the obvious trolls with very clear replies yet people continue to answer them with serious replies!!!

This is your forum people, if you make it troll ville then the meaningful content will be diluted to a point where it is a worthless resource. Is that what you really want or is it just me being cynical as ever? :P

pretty presumptuous to come here and admonish a whole site

You freely admit that it's a helpful site, and one of the nicest, then you say that the way we conduct ourselves as a whole is gonna make it useless. Obviously we conduct ourselves in a manner which made you join just 15 days ago, so how useless is it really?

I don't disagree that there are some trolls, but some of them are just for fun, and they allow people to either blow off steam or offer entertainment...there's nowt really nasty going on here, and the trolls that we have are mostly just silly ones.....the really nasty ones get run offf sharpish, so I don't think it's really fair to judge so harshly that we're all just gormless idiots who are new to the internet.

Some people log on and take one quick breeze around the board, make a few posts, then don't come back till the next day. They may not see the posts that have called the troll out - all they see is a post where the troll asked a question that they can answer, so they answered. Does that mean they're not internet savvy (like you're suggesting)? No. It means they may not have seen the 'history' of the troll's outing.

Sheesh.

Seriously.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).
