Approved!!

Mumbai embassy sent out an automated email to all the CR-1 interviews saying the interview from Sept 9th was moved to Sept 10th. They called my wife on 9th afternoon asking why she didnt show up for the interview. They said there is some glitch in their system.

They didnt really ask her many questions. They probably had all the CR1s from 9th and 10th so perhaps they tried to get through them quickly.

CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU AND TO ALL WHO HAVE HAD GREAT NEWS LATELY!!!!

I have not posted a congratulatory reply to so many posts of so much good news!! I just cannot keep up w u all!!! That is a positive thing, that there is finally such an abundance of goodness!!!

YAY!!! For everyone!! i wish the best for u all and your futures!!! Regardless of which stage u happen to be in rt now. ??

Congratulations to all of you with recent approvals and interviews. I just had a question. My husband arrived in the US on 27th August, we haven't received his SSN yet and I wanted any info that you all can provide on the same. We had the option to choose "yes" while filling the DS-260 wherein all the info would be sent to the SSA once he arrived directly from the homeland security . As a result of this we haven't actually physically visted the SSA and applied for the SSN...are we on the right path or just wasting time?

Hey, they asked me if I'd had chickenpox as it wasn't on my records, I said yes, and they took that and didn't question it anymore. Flu shots are season so it depends when your medical is and when the flu season starts, if you hit that then you'll have to get it done either at your doctors or at the medical.

They will take your word for it. Verbal response is good enough. Also, not sure on the flu shot, read somewhere that everyone was to have one from Oct or November.. If you're not sure.. call Knightsbridge. They are brilliant answering questions and telling you what you need! Good luck!

Just go down to the SS office and apply he will have in about 2 weeks.

Yesterday I called and they said my documents werent shipped to consulate yet as I saw No change in my ceac since CC.

Today I checked ceac again and everything is the same except current processing site changed to Ankara...

What does this mean? Means docs are at Ankara already?

I doubted it. Mine changed to "In Transit" and "Kuwait processing site" simultaneously back in September 2nd. Still says In Transit. DHL didn't show any Kuwait bound packages from NVC since then either.

Just checking in - hubby got his SSN yesterday after his POE on August 30. With the federal holiday in there (Labor Day), it seems to be taking roughly a week to receive the SSN after POE. :) Next step is him getting his TXDL and GC!

There is something that is SUPPOSED to happen at POE to send the data to the SSA, but it seems it is hit and miss whether or not that actually happens.

Don't wait. Go for it!

Hi everyone,

Just to let you know my docs were shipped to London today (confirmed by the awesome Agent Gus). Got the tracking info. My CEAC hasn't changed yet though, and I received my interview email/letter on Monday 8th, and my interview was actually scheduled on September 2nd, so it seems there is a week or so delay between scheduling and sending!?

Does anyone know if the SSN info is submitted by certain POE's and not others?

Sukie, you guys had JFK as the POE; so, I think We will have the same issue and will have to travel to the local SSA office nine days after POE. (I think someone mentioned to wait nine days?)
