Woooohoo! After waiting exactly 60 days we were finally able to pay our IV fee today. Pretty annoyed to have to pay the increased fee after such a long wait but still happy to have some progress. Time to get going on the DS-260! Good luck everyone!

I have a scan date of July 18th and NVC is still reviewing my package according to the NVC operator.

I have two applications (wife and stepson) - I will keep calling and asking ...

I believe the hold up is that my stepson application is still showing that i need to pay the $88 dollars for the AOS fees, but already paid for my wife, so I don't understand...maybe I need to pay for the two AOS applications

anyone that can shed some light about paying the AOS fees...

regarding el pasado judicial I got two documents, one from the website "Policia" and the other one we had to pay about 30,000 pesos...did it online, then I got a receipt...wife went to the bank and paid ...after two hours got a pasado judicial via e-mail...did send that as well.

I did not translate any document, not sure if i had to...

If your stepson's AOS fees doesn't show up as paid you need to call NVC to have it sorted. I have 2 concurrent cases too and as soon as I paid for one, the other one was updated to paid too.

Thanks for congratulating me for my CC! I can now relax! :star:

It took me 4 months and 17 days to get a CC! :wow: But... I didn't even get a single checklist! :bonk:

If I had gotten a checklist, it'd have taken me over 6 months to get a CC! It'd have been a crime! :dead:

Good luck everyone! I'm off to the interview thread (but still here waiting for my friends to get a CC)! :star:

Congrats! And WITHOUT a lawyer! :)

Just need a clarification

We don't need to send all three yrs of tax transcripts right? It's just optional?

Also, as far as the not leaving anything blank and putting NA everywhere, are ppl also putting that in the area where it asks if u had a preparer ?

Preparers address and such? Leave blank or write NA there as well. Btw I am doing the 864EZ

AOS package is the one that gets checklist a lot! Few common reasons!:

-Make sure you have your tax transcripts for the last three years, or the 1040's with the w-2 and relevant 1099 (if you have any). Don't leave any out because they will checklist you for it. If you haven't filed a tax return one year because you weren't required to, write a note in the cover letter, and a sticky note saying why, and that should suffice.

My best advice is to read the 1864 instructions! Print them out, and go bit by bit. Have them side by side with a practice run for your I864, look it over a bit few times before you send it off to catch any mistakes. (This help tremendously!!!)

Other than that, Good luck and welcome to the thread once again :)

You have to include the most recent year, but the previous two before that are optional. I included all of mine in an abundance of caution, because it's as easy to order three as it is to order one. I also put N/A on the first line of the preparer section, on the signature line.
