i am confused, a lot of folks here are saying i (we) will get checklist for not sending photocopy along with original for IV Documents, I called NVC this morning the operator is saying, so long as the originals IV Docs were sent in, copies are not needed, granted alot of operator are clueless of what is needed, im getting really confused here

I will keep calling NVC in hopes of talking with atleast 4 different operator to see if i will get same story for all of them to calm my fears.... its gonna be a long day calling NVC multiple times, stay tuned ....

If you do not provide copies the original documents will be kept and not returned to you.

Finally I received the e-mail from NVC for my IV fee invoice. I received the e-mail of $230 and now when I log-in it say to pay $325? what is going on with NVC? did they increase the fee now?

Well this whole thread is full with comments of the increased fee already.

http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/fees/fees-visa-services.html

Immigrant Visa Application Processing Fees (non-refundable, per person)

Immediate relative and family preference applications (processed on the basis of an approved I-130, I-600 or I-800 petition)

$325

Important Notice - New Application Fees: Nonimmigrant and immigrant visa application fees for certain visa categories will change on September 12, 2014. All visa applicants must pay the fee amounts in effect on the day they pay, with the exception of Immigrant Visa application processing fees paid domestically to the National Visa Center (NVC), which will be effective as of the date of billing.

Fees that will decrease are not refundable. If you paid a visa fee before September 12, 2014 and that fee decreased, we cannot give you a refund.

Fees that will increase (nonimmigrant fees only): Visa fees paid will be accepted 90 days after the new fees go into effect, as follows:

If you paid your visa fee before September 12, 2014, and your visa interview is on or before December 11, 2014, you do not have to pay the difference between the new and old fee amounts.

If you paid your visa fee before September 12, 2014, and your visa interview is on or after December 12, 2014, you will be required to pay the difference between the old and new fee amounts no exceptions.

When you go for interview take a set of photocopies and give it to the consular officer and then ask him to return the originals.

Eeehhhh no, they will keep your originals !

Or , if you made copies for yourself from the originals , you can give those at the interview and get your originals back.
