Our AOS fee has turned to N/A! Last scan date was July 22nd for an AOS checklist (the lawyer either forgot to include my 2013 tax documents or NVC lost them).

I'm in the middle of the boonies in Scotland right now, with poor to zero internet and phone coverage, so I probably won't be able to call NVC until tomorrow night at the earliest. I'm relieved though I'm not sure we're in time for an October interview.

Best of luck to everyone still waiting on their case complete. It looks like NVC is back to working 1 scan day every business day! Everyone on this thread has been super helpful. Thank you all and a special shoutout to Saylin for her work on the NVC Wiki! If you're new on the thread, please take the time to read the whole thing. I only wish I had found this amazing site and thread before I hired an attorney!

Congratulations stackeria!!! So happy for you!!

Updating on my AOS package and IV package progress all my fellow VJers:

Just got off the phone with NVC, she said my package has been scanned on Sept. 5th. I said I sent AugAOS in August, she said yes AOS is scanned on August 11th and your IV package scanned on Sept. 5th. She said with the recent changes your AOS and IV package will be reviewed together within 60 days from Sept. 5th. She said the packages that are being in received in September will be reviewed together. Not sure how authentic is the information but seems like NVC is trying to reduce the backlog by reviewing both packages together.

However, if there is a checklist associated with one of the package then it sets you back another 60 days. I still have a long way to go. Good luck to those whose scan dates are coming up.

This seems to be a new trend of NVC. Your's is the second non-EP case where documents are going to be reviewed together, first was Jazzyfay's case where her IV package from June 26 was going to be reviewed 60 days after AOS checklist scan date of July 22.

NVC really picked up the pace this week! Thrilled to see you're getting the CC nod. I believe (and hope) you'll score an October interview date my friend.

I AM SURE SOMEONE HAS HAD THIS SCENARIO BEFORE, MY WIFE HAS TAKEN VACCINATION SHOTS ALL HER LIFE, BUT UNFORTUNATELY SHE DOES HAVE THE SHOT RECORDS, WHAT DOES SHE NEED TO DO, I KNOW ITS A LONG WAY TO GO BEFORE WE GET TO MEDICAL EXAM, BUT WANTED TO PUT THE QUESTION OUT THERE TO SEE IF ANYONE HAS CAME ACROSS THIS, AND HAS SOUND ADVICE ON HOW TO PROCEED

I'm guessing you meant she does not have her vaccinations records. It's really no biggie. They're just a couple of itsy bitsy shots that at worst will make her arm tender for a few hours; Td and MMR. Just had them earlier this week myself as my records were lost decades ago. A flu shot as well if her medical is between October and March.

First off, turn the caps lock key off. All caps on forums = yelling. And no one likes to be yelled at

And did you mean she does NOT have shot records? If so, then I'd suggest getting an anti-bodies titer test done. They test the blood for anti-bodies for the required vaccines. You can then bring those results to the medical. But if some vaccines don't show up (which happens since it's likely been awhile since she's received the vaccines), then she'll need to get those vaccines again.

I'm not sure it's really worth going for the trouble of titer testing, unless pregnancy is involved or expected as the MMR vaccine would be an issue.

I called last night. Operator told me they reviewed my AOS and that everything was okay. She asked me about second packet I sent to them, I told her those are civil documents. Then she said to ignore the e-mail that I will get within a week, since I already sent the civil documents (I figured she is talking about false check list email). But, until I dont get that email I'm still skeptical :(

How long it takes to receive that email after they finish the review?

Congrats!! Even though I know it is really hard to trust NVC reps, this is one area they aren't usually wrong on; I am sure you're AOS is accepted!! In my case, my AOS was technically approved on September 9th; I received the generate email (false checklist asking for IV docs) at 1:08am today.

Paid my AOS fee today...Called NVC to ask if I can send AOS package and IV package together and she said "OF COURSE, but wait til the fees shows 'PAID'!!" i asked if i can put the AOS BARCODED sheet on both packages she said "yes you can"..now m waiting for hubby to send me all the documents required.. he just got his PCC yesterday from the passport office. Now hes getting the second pcc from the police station, which will take 3-4 days. I filled out I864 today..by end of next week I maybe able to send EVERYTHING to NVC!!

I just now talked to NVC rep, she further confirmed it from a supervisor (put me on hold for 5 mins) that people who are in middle of process, who have sent their packages (AOS and civil documents) separately will follow old procedure like 60 days for AOS and 60 days for IV package.!! so she told me, my aos package was scanned on 19th august, and 60 days from that date, I would get to know if my AOS has been approved or not.

Thanks. We're moving at the same pace. I will process my police clearance tomorrow (we call it NBI) and will be able to get it after a week. Then will send everything to my son for him to consolidate the packages and send it to NVC.. Probably we'll have it sent by 4th week September (22 to 26).

Are you too going to send both the packages before paying IV fee?
