You have to receive email with the invoice from NVC first

What was your question? That was just a statement :P

It's normal for it to say PAY NOW in the IV portal, even when it hasn't been invoiced yet. It'll show up in the payment portal when it's ready. Hang in there.

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

Can somebody help me with DS260.

Question 19 and 24 (mother and father info). Are those about applicant parents?

Thank you!

There is a DS 260 exemplar that may help you. I've attached the link to the PDF. I had to refer to it on few occasions.

Hi guys,

I know this has been said before in this thread but theres 100+ pages and my computer is SO slow.

Annual income on the I-864. Is that after tax or before?

Thanks in advance

It depends on which form you file your taxes on. Be very careful with this one I got a checklist for putting in the wrong amounts. Take the time to get it right it trips up a lot of people.

Current annual income isn't based on tax forms

Fun story! NOT! On August 1st I received a checklist via email. I followed the instructions and posted my response the same day. Yesterday (more than a month later!) I got the hard-copy in the mail with the same date of the emailed one. To my surprise they didn't match! It was exactly the same checklist but the email requested renewed forms from me, the Petitioner, but the hard copy requested renewed forms from the only joint sponsor. I called 12 times before I could even get on hold, but I finally got through to a supervisor. She was very friendly, apologized profusely BUT....guess what? Yep you got it, there's not a whole lot NVC can/will do. She admitted it was their mistake and told me to reply to the "real" checklist, being the hard-copy, and include an explanation letter. I explained that I had already replied to the emailed checklist and all my documents are scanned as of August 13th, and that I expect an answer within 60 days of that date. She told me there's no promises, even though it is NVC at fault, and that this mess up could still set us back. I spent the entire day in tears, writing letters, emailing to our joint sponsor in the US, and trying to organize the "real" checklist response. I really don't mind having to fill out more papers but I AM BEYOND WORDS for my disgust and true contempt of this entire process. We have been in this nightmare for over a year, and NVC's mistake could cost us a lot more time. I have already prepped the packet and my us joint sponsor will mail it out today-ish. I just needed somewhere to vent. I cannot understand why all of this has to be so hard. I will never understand why our government slaps an honest hand, encourages illegal immigrants, takes more time and money than they need, and almost forces one to go the illegitimate route. UGH! :wow:

*On 08/01/14 I received a checklist via email and responded right away. Over a month later, on 09/09/14, I received the hard-copy in the mail. Upon reading the hard-copy, I found that NVC made a mistake and emailed me the wrong checklist. I contacted a supervisor at NVC and she instructed me to write a letter of explanation to accompany my "real" checklist response. She also told me this may not help me and that we may be back in line. Lord help us!

So, Saylin, we just put what my husbands annual income is BEFORE tax? That previous post confused me.

What have people been slipping up on when it comes to the income part?

Hello all! I'm still waiting for my IV fee to be invoiced. Completed DS-261 on 07/16/14; paid AOS fee on 07/19/04.

Anyone else still waiting from those dates? I'm seeing lots of IV fees being invoiced from later dates :(

Was planning to call next week at the 60 day mark...

You may want to talk call and talk to a supervisor. I did last month and found up that they had skipped mine and were on later dates. She sent an email and within a few hours it was accepted.
