Hello everyone!

I received an email from NVC yesterday saying that due to an increased volume of approved petitions from USCIS they are experiencing increased review times.

It said that they expect it to take "at least 60 days" from the date they received our documents before they complete the review.

Has anyone received similar notifications? I am not really upset, since we've been waiting for 1.5 years at this point so another 30 days on top of the regular 30 days won't make that much of a difference. I just hope there won't be any RFE.

What's your opinion on this people? Has this happened in the past?

what petition was apprived ? I-130 ? and is there any possibilty for NVC to request RFE ? i thought only USCIS may request that

I-130 was approved a while ago, around early February this year. We are at the NVC stage, paid all the fees, sent the AOS and IV packages. They received them on July 22. And yesterday I got an email saying that the process time at NVC will take at least 60 days. (usually it's 30, I believe)

Yes I did received email too. but it's not fair for us who have already file. The one who have already file it should take only 20 business days and who ever file after us than it should be 60 days. Because I see people getting date for interview before me and so that's not fair.

I got the exactly same email from them today....they have't even let me pay the IV fee and process the IV package.

My I-130 got approved on March this year and I never thought it would take this long....

We have been waiting more than 2years since this was our second time to file because they lost our documents somehow.

Im just so upset about this....Cant wait to see my love and have marriage life anymore....

They sent me REF two days in a row while I have aleady sent them 2 weeks ago and they didn't even open my envelope and saying ohh it might be in a mail room, so I asked them why keep sending me REF while I have already sent it, So we have sent by error just ignore it. So guys this is the reason why we have to wait for 60 days for no reason. Because they are not checking mail rooms that they have received mail just keep sending REF.
